In August of 2019 Chris and Bailey met through a mutual friend at a local dive bar in Pacific Beach, CA. Bailey likes to say Chris was the, "grumpy bartender" who was a little less grumpy when he served her. The first real hang out was right before Covid and right before both of their world's were turned upside down. When 2020 came around and Covid shut down the town, they were both out of jobs with the only silver lining being the copious amount of time they had to get to know each other.

A year later San Diego had become an increasingly difficult city to maintain a decent life in. With that in mind, Chris made the tough decision to move back to Erie so he could better himself and be closer to family. It was so hard to say goodbye, but Bailey was proud of him and knew it was the right choice at the time. As always, everything happened for a reason and Chris leaving led to Bailey realizing that she too was ready for the next chapter. So a few months later, she moved to New Bern, NC to be closer to family and have her fresh start.

Over the next eight months Chris and Bailey talked and facetimed multiple times a day. In a way the move brought them even closer as they maintained a stronger friendship than ever and continued to support each other through the many challenges moving across the country will throw at you. Around February 2022, Bailey finally asked Chris, " Do you want to move down here with me?" and it turns out he did.

On Memorial Day weekend of 2022, Bailey flew to Buffalo, NY where Chris picked her up and drove her to Erie, PA to meet his family and friends and help him pack up his truck. The next day they had a fun day of riding the rides at Waldameer and taking a tour of Erie before making the 12 hour drive to New Bern. After a year of living together, Chris asked Bailey the question, " do you want to marry me? " and it turns out, she did.

So here we are, hoping that all of you will join us on our special day and help see us into the next, most exciting chapter yet!
