In August of 2021, Bailey moved to Ohio to start the most difficult 15 months of her life... aka nursing school. When she left, she promised her mother that she wouldn't meet anyone and that she was coming right home after graduation. Well, like all things, nothing goes as planned. In hopes of meeting some people and going on a few fun dates, Bailey joins Bumble (a dating app). Within her first week in Ohio, she swipes on Jess's profile. Jess, a night or two later, is also on the app. She swipes on Bailey's profile, and they match! In hopes of seeing a response, Jess sends Bailey a question about what her love languages are. Bailey then explains her answer, and Jess, inturn, responds. Fast forward a week, and they have agreed to meet.

Bailey, the funny human she is, agrees to go to the zoo for a first date. Jess was very creative in her first-date suggestions. Both parties figure even if the date sucks, at least the zoo will be fun. With blind trust in each other, Jess picks Bailey up from her apartment, and they head to the zoo. The whole day Bailey desperately wants Jess to hold her hand. Unfortunately, Bailey is also utterly clueless, so the few times Jess attempted to, she completely missed it. Finally, in the last hour of the date, Bailey finds the courage to hold Jess's hand.

From there, the two never stopped talking. They texted, video chatted, spoke on the phone, had a few more dates, and continued building a relationship.

On September 24, 2021, Jess asked Bailey to be her girlfriend. With the biggest grin and bright red face, Bailey agreed. Since then, the couple has spent a lot of time together. Jess would come over to Bailey's apartment for a few hours after work and hang out, or Bailey would go to Jess's apartment. Until Bailey slowly moved her things in. It became evident that Bailey spent more time at Jess's place than her own. So the couple decided to move forward in their relationship and move in together, that was December 2021.

In December 2021, Jess flew to California to meet Bailey's parents. In July of 2022, the couple moved into a bigger and better apartment together.

In October 2022, Jess got down on one knee and proposed to the love of her life. With extreme enthusiasm, Bailey said, "YES!" A few days later, Bailey proposed, and Jess said, "YES!"

The couple is pleased to be starting this new chapter in their life together. They wish for joy, laughter, and a lifetime of happiness.
