John and Bailey met through Catholic Match in October of 2023. Bailey, who was living in California at the time, seeing that John was in Texas AND in the army, wasn't so sure about giving him a shot. A few messages in, both of them were excited to get to know each other. After the first video call, Bailey exclaimed to her former roommate (& now bridesmaid!) Abbie East, "I like the guy from the armyyyyyyyy! UGH!" After many texts conversation and weekly calls, December came & John made the journey to the west coast to visit Bailey where she gave him a tour of San Diego. They toured her much enjoyed workplace, JPCatholic, met her friends, visited the San Diego Zoo, ate at In & Out, and explored their new-found favorite spot, Coronado Island. Somehow they both knew that forever was starting!

Flash forward to August of 2024: John was returning from a deployment overseas. Getting off of an 18-hour flight, he hopped immediately onto another plane to accompany Bailey as a date to a wedding in LA. The next weekend, he arrived in San Diego again for a trip the couple planned to Disneyland. After enjoying two weekends of back-to-back adventures, John & Bailey knew they longed to be together and the talk of moving Bailey to Texas became a reality.

In December of 2024, Bailey ended her time at JPCatholic and with the mighty moving help of John, headed to El Paso, Texas.

In February of 2025, John knew it was time to ask Bailey to marry him. Just to throw her off, John waited until the day after Valentine's Day and beautifully proposed to her on February 15, 2025.

With new orders from the army exciting their timeline, John and Bailey will move to North Carolina the Monday after their wedding to start their new life together! Please pray for us as we enter this journey of marriage! :)
