Bailey and Michael first met at Camp Batawagama in 2016 where they worked together on staff and became friends in the summer of 2017. After hanging out between busy days whenever they were able to, the two grew closer and started dating at the end of the summer.

Michael went off to LSSU and Bailey went to NMU, but they weren't separated for long. Michael transferred to NMU for the winter semester and the two got to go to school in the same area for a few years.

A graduate degree, teaching certificate, and a very long thesis later, Bailey and Michael move to Ironwood, Michigan together where Bailey taught 4th grade and Michael worked for the Ottawa National Forest as a Forest Planner. Michael proposed to Bailey in September of 2023 in the place where they first met and spent many years together, Camp Batwagama.

Michael and Bailey have now moved to Iron River, Michigan, where they bought a wonderful house with some land for Michael to play with in his spare time! Bailey teaches 3rd grade at West Iron County Schools and Michael continues his career with the Ottawa National Forest.
