Our Wedding

Studies suggest that the average woman is likely to meet "the one" at around age 25, while the average man might find his life partner closer to age 28.&nbsp;That being said, if you told Bailey she had met the man she would marry approaching age 27, she would have laughed in disbelief. For Will, he was losing hope just as fast...

First crossed paths... 

It was in 2019, that Bailey and Will first crossed paths at VENT fitness following Will's discovery of Bailey on Instagram. Will was in disbelief Bailey was a real person until this day. Will made comments to his gym buddies about Bailey but none of them knew much about her. If you know Bailey, you know she had her tunnel vision on and was there on a mission, to workout.

It was the later part of 2020, that Will and Bailey were going about their lives when they crossed paths yet again at 'BJ's Brewhouse' in Albany, NY. Bailey was with her boyfriend at the time and Will there visiting his current girlfriend who was working. Both parties were sitting at the bar which was only yet so big, there was eye contact made between Bailey and Will. The kind of eye contact that says, "You look familiar, but is it really you?" It wasn't until Bailey's boyfriend got up to use the restroom that Will struck up small talk. The conversation was centered around where we both were at in life and surface level chitter chatter. Following this, Bailey and Will did not speak again until...

Welcome back...

May 2023, when Bailey checked her phone and noticed a message from Will on Instagram saying, "Welcome Back!". Will highlighted that, seemingly every few years, he would date a woman who had a problem with Bailey, whether they knew her or not. It was always shortly after the breakups that Bailey would re-surface in Will's suggested friends on Instagram and they would rekindle....briefly. However, this time it was more than brief. For the first time, we settled on an actual date.

This is where the story switches from overview to a view from the side of the groom. This transition exists because there is no perspective other than my own that could quantify how much of a pivotal moment in my life that encounter was. Our first date had all of the standard questions and observations of two people getting to know one another, until it came over me that she was going to be different. It ran over me like a wave washing over sand, resetting all the footprints from the day. I’ll save some of you all the intimate details, but by the end of the evening, at 29 years old it dawned on me that I now understand the saying of “when you know you know”. I drove home in complete silence in the rain just thinking about what just happened and how to respond to these feelings I had never felt before.    After I pulled into my driveway proceeding 30 minutes of silence and self reflection I called my parents and told them I found her. When they asked me if there were any things that I was nervous about or afraid of the only thing I could think to say was that I was nervous that I adore her so much, that I may unintentionally try to paint myself as the man I think she will want, and I can’t do that to someone so special. So for the next year I did my absolute best to never over sell myself because for the first time ever, the thought of disappointing someone else (her) would hurt more than finding myself disappointed in another. That following year would bring us to more than 20 states, 2 countries, 2 houses, 1 business and more love and happiness than the 28 years prior combined. Every day after the first date was simply to count the days down until I could ask her the question that brought you all to this page and our story.

so, as it was known to Will that the future was already determined, that fact may not have been as known to Bailey. An ever changing plan was set into motion to bring them together where Will realized that he may be able to create a reason to convince Bailey to leave her very affordable apartment with no shades on the windows, and bring them together in Delmar, where the school district is good, the distance is no longer, and the construction of the walk in closet converted from a bedroom has begun. Needless to say, once the closet was completed, Bailey came soon after.

The larger picture

Once they began living together things began to become real. The walls had been painted from dark black to bright white. The floors were changed from a cold ceramic tile to a warm wood plank. The kitchen was opened up and the new fridge had real food that needed more than a microwave. The renovations had turned that house into a home. The projects continued, and as the time together grew, they brought about stress, excitement, fun and frustration. However at the end of every day they got together and had dinner at the table. And as the chairs switched from boxes, to folding, to dining, and their lives went from separate, to intertwined, to one… Soon the number of days since that very first date were reaching a year, she knew she’d have to make a choice soon. Now with all of those adventures and experiences under their belt. It was time to turn the page and open the next chapter of their lives. The chapter where with the simple answer to a very big question, two families would become one, and a forever knot would be created from trust, ambition, and love.

Bailey's Bridesmaids

Bailey and Vanessa met through fashion shows and bonding over our commonalities of being the 'tall girls' and playing sports in college. Vanessa lives local to Bailey & Will and is married with two beautiful daughters.

Bailey and Kayli go way back to 'Hip-clips' and 'Bop-It'. They grew up less than one mile away and have been good friends since Bailey joined Red Jacket in 3rd grade. Kayli lives in the Rochester area and has a recent new born boy, Cade.

Emily and Bailey rekindled their friendship following a local fashion show many years back. They frequently find themselves chatting over coffee while sharing stories. Emily lives in the Clifton Park area with her husband.

Bailey was introduced to Lindsay through Mike Jr. [Will's brother] and is soon to be Bailey's sister-in-law. Lindsey is very free spirited and kind hearted. Linsey lives with Will's brother and two kids in Red Hook, NY.

Sydney has always been the little sister that Bailey never had. She attended Red Jacket High School and recently graduated from SUNY Geneseo. Sydney is currently living in the Rochester area pursuing her degree in teaching.

William's Groomsmen

The older brother to the groom and the oldest of all the brothers born to the Wyants, Michael has lead by example in finding success or getting up when you've fallen down.  Finding him on your side may leave you with harsh words and difficult truths, however they each came with the outcome of your best interest. When will and mike find themselves in need of one another they always show up, no matter how far, how difficult or even how legal... there are no consequences larger than the consequence of not showing up when the other calls. He's is the best man because when Will needs to call the best man he knows, Mike is the Best Man to know.

the younger brother of well known supervillain Obadiah Stain previously slain by Tony Stark in the first iron man after he attempted to make an Iron Man Suit for public sale. Josh has gone a different route and is keeps this city running. He is the protector of the innocent, and Bailey prior to meeting will. All jokes aside, Josh came into wills life as a friend to Bailey, and the separation of the friendship never became a concern to the relationship because josh is a true friend of a different generation. An old soul in the greatest of ways Josh has become a great friend to Will and it is clear to all that he will become a Friend of the future family. Of all the things josh has had to offer to Will, nothing could be more valuable than the unbelievable level of trust. A level of trust you could Previously only find in a parent or a brother, Will has found in josh. Trust in conversation, in safety, in experience and in character, lets have a toast to Josh because in the worst of times I know could leave my life's achievements and possessions in joshes hands to hold, and upon my return they would be exactly as I've left them, all while asking for nothing in return.

Old friends have history, but new friends have community. Todd is the example of offering help with the expectation of nothing in return. When they first met Todd came over to our house where he saw will working on our house, and offered a neighborly hand that quickly grew into the sharing of experience, knowledge, time and even the occasional tractor. There are few people that you can say "I would not have been able to do this if it weren't for him", and Todd is one of those people for our Family. From the completion of our driveway, to the purchase of our first investment property, to the fist winter of firewood, Todd has been there to offer nothing less than everything he has to help, while asking and expecting absolutely nothing in return. Will admires Todd for the things he knows and his ability to learn about the things he does not, all while balancing a beautiful little family of his own and finding time to build the most beautiful house in our area and running several side businesses, yet never letting his possessions or successes define him. Todd is as humble as he is honest and has been nothing short of a blessing to our family as the knowledge and selfless help he has provided has mitigated enough stress still convince Bailey to say yes, even through at the time we were living in a construction zone, because she saw Todd as the light at the end of the tunnel and a whisper of wisdom then ambitions were running too high.

A little brother of the Groom. A recent high school grad who wants very little from others yet always gives the most. His expectations from those around him are always minimum yet he always exceeds the expectations of others. Just a good man, honest and ambitious, yet still remarkably simple and kind. He is here because he always will be.

The First friend to will upon his move to the Delmar area, Dom and Will have both watched and helped each other go through some of those pivotal moments in a young mans life. From knowing what is best for you if the relationship department to knowing what's best in the drinking and casino department, Dom has always been the one to call when you need something as simple as a night out with a friend, to something as crucial to help with a tree that's leaning over your house. Just a good old country boy, with a big old country heart, he's seen it all and will see more to come.
