Seth bought tickets to the Alabama vs. Tennessee game in Knoxville, TN for October 15, 2022.
On Friday, October 14, we drove to Knoxville. To my knowledge, we were going to meet our sweet friends for dinner and to go around the town! Seth had a little more planned for us… 💍🤭
I was dozing off just a little while we were right outside Ashville, AL (right smack in the middle of our trip). Suddenly, I was startled from a pop… there goes my passenger rear tire! So, we are trying to get this car at least to a near gas station up the hill. Seth, of course, is acting calm, cool, and collected. I’m so grateful that he can be the calm in the craziness, haha. After a few phone calls to family/friends and the towing company, we were able to get Triple A to come tow us and we headed to a tire shop across town. We’re blessed that we could get help as quickly as we did. Come to find out, not only one tire blew, but two tires blew! So, that was interesting. During this whole time, Seth had been cracking jokes and making light of the situation. For me, I was getting a gut feeling that something was going on because he was continuously texting friends about our ETA, but I tried to deny my gut feeling that something may have been happening because we did have dinner plans! After an exciting and interesting 3 hours, we were finally back on the road. 
We got to our hotel in downtown Knoxville a lot later than expected (supposed to be there at 4:30, it was now 9:00!), but we both still wanted to make the most out of it. We both decided to get ready for a dinner for just the two of us, and meet with our friends afterwards. Now, my gut feeling about a proposal was gone. As I was curling my hair, and putting on my perfume, I was facing the hotel mirror and Seth is talking to me from across the room. I won’t embarrass him by telling all of the sweet words he was saying. ☺️ I remember turning around to respond to what he was saying, but he was on one knee holding a box with a ring inside!! I hurried over to him and sat on his knee and just hugged him. We were both over the moon. It was absolutely perfect. Although, he had a proposal idea chosen, he did not let a bump in the road hold him back! (Pun intended) 😉
