Hello, dear friends and family—

It is with heavy hearts that we share we are no longer able to host the evening we planned for you all.

The circumstances contributing to this decision were unexpected and disappointing. We were really looking forward to gathering with you—to having a good meal, hitting the dance floor, and celebrating our connections to one another.

For friends coming from afar: We’re aware our proximity to the would-be date makes for a less-than-ideal time frame to seek reimbursement for travel plans and accommodation if you have already made those plans, and we are deeply apologetic for any financial stress this causes you. Please know we hold absolutely no ill will whatsoever should you seek to recoup those funds rather than traveling to Minneapolis. This isn’t us being Minnesota Nice—seriously, we love you, and we get it. Please do what’s best for you.

If you decide to visit Minneapolis around the original date (March 14) regardless, or if you're local and itching to hang out, we would still be thrilled to see you. We don’t need a venue or fancy clothes to be close to and express care for each other. We’ll figure something out and update you on new (less formal, less flashy, still enthusiastic) plans.
