Some love stories are simple. You meet, fall in love and the rest is history. Others are forged over time, requiring divine intervention from the universe to bring destined souls together. Zach knew that he found something great in Bailey from day one though, so that didn’t stop him. He grabbed food and came and sat on that couch with Bailey, keeping her company and giving her time to feel comfortable enough for a real first date.

After several couch-bound date nights and Adam Sandler movie marathons, Bailey really started falling for Zach and felt safe enough in his presence for a first real date. Zach took this act of trust seriously and didn’t pull out any stops. He made sure to stand by her side, walking her to the car, holding doors open, giving her an arm to lean on at all points— making sure that the only thing she had to focus on was a romantic evening.

That date set the tone for their relationship. Zach continued to be patient and supportive, allowing Bailey to set the pace with not just her healing, but also with relationship announcements and family introductions. He understood her past and never held it against her.

Eventually, Zach met Bailey’s family and got to know Niko and Noah, who also quickly fell in love with him too. It didn’t take long before he became “step-dad” and his mom became “Grammy” giving Bailey’s boys another family outside of hers that they felt unabashed love.
