No! We have one listed but it is not mandatory to book your trip through her. If you could kindly inform the bride, groom, or mother of the bride/groom when you have booked that would appreciated!
We are thinking of getting an AIRBNB/VRBO where on the island would you suggest?
If you are looking into a rental property we have enjoyed the neighborhoods within the Mauna Lani community. There are plenty of nice places on the island make sure to read the reviews! :)
Do we need to rent a car?
You don't have to but the island is LARGE and uber/lyft is sparse. If you want to do any sightseeing, renting a car through a car rental company (such as HERTZ, Budget, Costco, etc.) or TURO is highly recommended to get the most out of your vacation.
What is the name of the airport on the island?
There are two airports on the island. Flying into Kona International Airport (KOA) will be the closest to the wedding. The other airport on the island is in Hilo (ITO) and is about an hour drive from Kona.
Is there a specific resort we need to stay at?
No! This is your vacation find a spot that fits your needs! The bride and groom will be staying in a VRBO in the Mauna Lani neighborhood. It is not required to stay within that community! This is YOUR vacation have fun!:)
What dates do we need to book?
Again this is your vacation! Come for as long or as short as you would like. The bride and groom will be on the Big Island from 2/12 - 2/19! If you want to only be on the Big Island for a certain amount of time and hop over to another island that is totally okay! Just remember the wedding is on 2/15 ;)
