Though you may have heard it a million times, we can't get enough of it!

At the time they met, Roger was living in Winfield, KS finishing his Master's Program at Southwestern College. Bailey was living in Norman, OK working at a Chiropractic office.

On October 15th, 2021 Bailey was rushing home to catch a flight with her family for vacation. If you know Bailey, the cruise might have been on but her heavy foot was speeding down the highway. As any normal person would she pulled out her phone and started to swipe on Bumble (the dating app). Little did she know a gentleman was doing the same. As she pondered on the profile in front of her she decided to give what she thought was "the good guy" a chance and swiped right in hopes they would match. Roger pondered as well but he thought her black hair and big personality would be a breath of fresh air. (Poor guy)

*DING* We have a match, and from there it's history! No really, it is! From there they spoke every moment for a couple of weeks and finally, Bailey made a trip to Winfield to meet Roger. As he stepped out of his Dodge Dakota in the Subway parking lot Bailey's only thought was "Dang! He looks like his photos!" After a nervous, awkward lunch they left for their next adventure. Bailey hurriedly called her mom to let her know "They don't make them like this anymore. I'm going to marry this man!"

A couple weeks later they met up again for a Cody Johnson concert. Embarrassingly enough Bailey brought her mom and friend Brittany on the date! That night is when they both knew they were in deep and were going to put forward the effort to see this through!

A few short months later, in May 2022, Roger graduated with his Masters and him and Bailey set south for their new home in Norman, OK. From there they started their traditions, traveled to see family as much as possible, and grew a relationship that would be the groundwork for their future family!

Again, if you know Bailey she was staying south and never coming back. Well, she met "the boy" who would change her mind because her heart would follow him anywhere! They decided to move back to Kansas in 2023 to stick roots and be closer to home. Roger felt like this was the perfect time to take that next step!

October 21st, 2023

While on a trip to Grove, OK to enjoy a weekend away and together Roger rowed to the other side of the lake from their cabin, took in a sunset, enjoyed music and a beer, and got down on one knee to ask the love of his life to marry him!

Ok, ok, you know the real story! Roger was a little nervous, hadn't rehearsed anything, so when the time came he asked Bailey to marry him through her tears, and finished with "Sorry, I didn't know what to say, this is my first time." Their goofy, never perfect, always kind love blossomed from there.

Over the last year, we have been planning for a great celebration! We hope that you are able to make it but if not we understand and ask that you send up a little prayer of your blessing!
