Q: Where is the wedding taking place? 


A: Our ceremony and reception will be held at Kennington’s Mansion, located at 1020 Carlisle St, Jackson, United States. The ceremony will begin at 5 PM and take place in the front yard of the house.

Q: What are my parking options? 


A: Street parking surrounding the venue and throughout the neighborhood. Please avoid parking directly in front of the house, as that is where the ceremony will be held.

Q: Will there be security at the venue? 


A: Yes, security will be present. However, please remember that your vehicle remains your responsibility, so we recommend not leaving valuables in your car.

Q: What is the dress code for the day? 
A: The dress code is cocktail/garden party attire. Wear what makes you feel your best!

Q: How long is the reception expected to last? 
A: The reception will begin immediately after the ceremony at the same location and is planned to wrap up by 8:45 PM.

Q: Where can I stay if I need accommodations? 


A: There are plenty of excellent Airbnb options in our neighborhood, along with the local luxury bed and breakfast, the Fairview Inn, in addition to hotels in downtown or the suburbs. Since our wedding coincides with the Sanderson Farms Classic golf tournament, we encourage you to secure your accommodations soon!

Q: Can I bring my children? 


A: We trust you to use your discretion when deciding whether to bring your children! We know that every family is different, and we want you to feel comfortable, whether that means bringing them along or enjoying a kid-free evening. That said, we do want to be upfront that the venue may not feel entirely child-friendly for everyone. The house itself contains historic artifacts and breakable items, and much of the event will take place outdoors. There is a pool and an in-ground trampoline on the property (which will not be in use during the event), which might sound fun to little ones, but we know can also be a source of stress. The reception will be in the fenced-in backyard, and the ceremony will be in the front yard, which is not fenced. Whatever you decide, we’re just happy to celebrate with you—whether that includes hugging your kiddos or seeing you enjoy a night out!

Q: Are there any nearby spots to enjoy before or after the wedding? 


A: Absolutely! If you’d like to extend the celebration, check out Belhaven Town Center, where you can enjoy venues such as Fertile Ground Brewery, Rowan’s Bar, MayDay Ice Cream, and Good Bar. You might also want to visit The Manship and the Library Lounge at the Fairview Inn.
