How can you tell a story without starting from the very beginning?

It was the first day of school way back in 2010: Seth was in 7th grade, and Bailey, in 8th. The two were headed to 5th period, a study hall. Upon arrival, the class stood around waiting to be seated. One by one, students were assigned their seats in alphabetical order. Ew. With this, Seth and Bailey were seated right next to each, never having met before. Every day, Seth would bring a book with him, completing assignments as the period went on. Bailey, on the other hand, always finished her work either in class or at home and didn’t have assignments to work on. Instead, being that she was a very chatty 8th grader, she needed someone to talk to in order to pass the time. After much convincing, she finally got Seth to put the book down and have a conversation. However, once she got Seth to start talking to her, he never stopped. It eventually got to a point where Bailey couldn’t take it anymore, and she transferred out of the study hall to get away from him, LOL! But not before Seth could shoot his shot and give her his phone number.

Being from a small town and attending a low volume school, Bailey and Seth were never really separated. They saw each other often and even shared some of the same friends. In 2012, the two reconnected, and Bailey actually asked Seth to go to the homecoming dance with her. Thank goodness he was allowed to go, even though he was grounded, because the rest is history!

On September 23, 2012, Seth asked Bailey to be his girlfriend, and oddly enough, she said yes! Little did they know their silly high school relationship would turn into something more meaningful.

After graduating high school, the two attended colleges six miles from each other (Bailey went to college first, so Seth obviously followed her, duh). In the following years, they moved into an apartment together, and this is when they got their first pet, a cat named Olive!

Now, there’s a lot in between here. Bought a house, sold the house. Moved back home. Bought a camper, lived in there. But we won’t bore you with that!

On August 4, 2023, Seth asked another question, but this time, he finally asked Bailey to be his wife.

Being together for 11 years, a couple and their relationship are bound to experience a lot: accomplishments, hardships, compromises, and successes. But what is to be appreciated most is being given the opportunity to watch your partner grow and mature into the person he/she has become over the years. That. That is something truly special that is shared between Bailey and Seth.
