Alex was currently attending University of Minnesota, and Bailey was attending Lincoln College. While home from college on Christmas break. On January 9, 2022, the stars aligned. Alex and Bailey matched on a dating website, named Tinder.

On that same day Alex reached out to Bailey, and instead of the usual hello, he says, "You have some of the prettiest eyes I've seen". They went on their first date the next day.

A few days later the two headed back to school where they decided to try long distance. After a long hard month, Bailey drove to Minnesota to spend a very cold Valentine weekend with Alex. Little did she know, he would ask her to be his girlfriend and gift her an infinity necklace, they knew at that time this was forever.

The semester came to a close, and Alex decided he had some pretty important things at home, so he packed his bags and transferred home.

On their one-year anniversary they gifted each other promise rings with the promise of taking every challenge together, and one day replace them.

On December 27, 2024, Alex and Bailey headed to Branson Missouri for a small get away before Alex headed back to school to finish his degree, and Bailey went back to work.

Alex bought tickets to travel through a Christmas light show in Branson at Big Cedar Lodge. As they approached a waterfall with a footbridge all lit up with lights, Alex asked if Bailey would like to get out to take pictures. She simply could not resist pictures. They walked to the bridge, took some pictures....and then Alex reached into his pocket. He asked Bailey to marry him not even two hours into their special trip. She immediately said yes.

They plan to get married December 20, 2025, in celebration of loving Christmas and being able to enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Both Alex and Bailey cannot wait to tie the knot and spend forever together.
