We were introduced by a mutual friend and after a few weeks of communicating via social media and text we agreed to meet in person. We decided our first date would be at his house where he cooked one of my favorite meals of steak, baked potatoes and salad, along with corn on the cob. Almost 6 years later he still teases me about the fact that I didn’t eat the corn even though he asked me if there were things I couldn’t/wouldn't eat and I told him no. 🤣 I was so nervous the whole day leading up to the date and shared my location with several friends and had a backup plan in place. When I got to his house and he opened the door every nerve I had immediately went away. I even convinced him to go to a wedding shower with me the next day with some of my best friends and we have been inseparable since! ❤️
