Ken and I met on a dating app. I saw his picture first and reached out, thinking he'd never reply. To my surprise he did and we talked for a few months before deciding to meet in person. He came to Lincoln and we had a double date with my Maid of Honor. We toured around UNL campus as he was getting ready to transfer there, and that is where we felt an instant connection. We've been inseparable since, even though we each spent a good amount of time away from the other for work, we would call and text all day everyday and gush about how much we missed the other. But those times apart made all the times together so much more sweet and valuable.

Ken proposed on May 13th 2023 on UNL campus where we had that magical first date. He also proposed on the 2nd anniversary of our Utah trip where I decided not to let my fear of commitment hold me back from fully loving this amazing man. That trip meant so much to the both of us as it let us take our love to depths neither of us has been before. And thanks to that trip, I now get to marry the man of my dreams, my best friend.

And yes, we are aware of how Iconic our names are! To us, it just proves that we're soulmates after all.
