Our story began through a mutual friend who shared our contact information and told us we were “perfect for each other”, something we will never hear the end of!

Matt was the first to send a text message. After a couple of weeks of talking through texts and over the phone, we finally met in person for a drink on June 20, 2022.

Since then, we began spending more and more time together and learning how much we have in common, from being die hard Alabama fans, to the love of music and dogs.

Barbara’s two dogs were the first to fall in love with Matt, which wasn’t very long after they first met him.

After a year and half of going on vacations, concerts, ball games, and other adventures, Matt proposed on Christmas Day 2023.
