During the height of the pandemic, and after rewatching The Great Gatsby, we decided to visit the historical Sands Point Preserve for some fresh air and a scenic stroll.

This is when we first discovered the grandeur of the Hempstead House.

It was only in the midst of wedding planning (two years later), when we finally realized that we can host our wedding at Hempstead House!

Hempstead House is the embodiment of Gold Coast opulence and the extraordinary lifestyle of the roaring 1920s and 1930s. The Sands Point peninsula was the famed “East Egg” in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby.” Established in 1912, the Tudor-style castle served as a summer residence for the Guggenheim family where they hosted grand parties, performances, and exhibitions by world-class artists. A true Long Island treasure!
