Q: What time should I arrive?A: We kindly ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm. The ceremony will be held outside in the courtyard, and the reception will be held both inside and outside. Events &amp; ActivitiesQ: Will there be a second line? A: Yes! We'll be dancing through the streets NOLA-style after the ceremony, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes! Q: What's a Second Line?A: A Second Line is a beloved New Orleans tradition! It's a lively parade led by a brass band, where guests dance through the streets waving handkerchiefs or parasols. It's a joyful celebration of life, love, and music. registry Q: Do you have a wedding registry?A: Yes! Q: What's the weather like in New Orleans during early April?A: Early April in New Orleans is warm, lively, and still a bit unpredictable. Many days are sunny and comfortable, with daytime temperatures typically in the mid to upper 70s F (24–26 C). However, humidity can make it feel a bit warmer than the actual temperature. You might still catch a brief rain shower, and evenings can cool down to around 60 F (16 C). In short: pack light layers, comfortable clothes for warm days, and a light jacket or sweater for nights. Q: What's the best airport to fly into for New Orleans, and how far is it from the French Quarter?A: The best airport is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). It's about a 25-30 minute drive to the French Quarter, depending on traffic. Q: Is transportation provided?A: No, if you are staying in the French Quarter the wedding venue is within walking distance. If you are staying outside of the French Quarter, please arrange your own transportation. Some things to keep in mind:• the closer you get to Bourbon St, the rowdier/louder the street is at night• although Canal St is iconic, I would not recommend staying in a hotel/airbnb on canal st Beyond the French QuarterIf you’re planning to extend your trip to New Orleans or prefer to stay outside of the French Quarter, we highly recommend checking out&nbsp;Uptown (especially closer to Magazine Street). It's a beautiful neighborhood known for its oak-lined streets, charming homes, walkability, and great local restaurants and shops. 1.) here are just a few activities to do when visiting New Orleans Stroll Through the French Quarter Explore the city's most iconic neighbourhood. Don't miss Royal Street for its art galleries and musicians, and be sure to check out Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and pirate's alley. french quarter festival If you're staying in New Orleans after our wedding weekend, French Quarter Festival takes place April 8–11, 2027, and is a great way to experience the city. This free festival features hundreds of local musicians performing throughout the French Quarter, along with food and drinks from many of the city's iconic restaurants. It's a wonderful way to experience the culture, music, and flavors that make New Orleans so special! If you're planning to attend, we recommend going on Thursday or Friday when the crowds are typically lighter. Tour The National WWII Museum The National WWII Museum in New Orleans is a world-class institution dedicated to exploring the American experience during World War II. Through immersive exhibits, personal narratives, and interactive displays, it offers visitors a profound understanding of the war's impact on the United States and the world. Swamp Tour Just outside the city, a guided swamp tour lets you cruise through scenic bayous filled with cypress trees, alligators, turtles, and birds. Many tours are family-friendly and include fun, educational commentary about the ecosystem and Cajun culture. Note: Highly recommend the ones that are on an airboat :) The Sazerac House an interactive museum and distillery that celebrates the city's cocktail culture, particularly the iconic Sazerac cocktail. Located near the French Quarter, it offers immersive exhibits, tastings, and a behind-the-scenes look at the craft of spirit-making. JAMNOLA (Joy Art Music - New Orleans) Located on vibrant Frenchmen Street, JAMNOLA takes visitors of all ages on an immersive joy ride through the heart and soul of New Orleans.
