Barret and Nick first met their freshman year of college. Both were pre-pharmacy majors living in the same dorm. Due to being in similar classes, Barret and Nick would occasionally study in Herriott Hall. Fast forward 2 years, both were some of the few people left on campus the winter of their first year of pharmacy school. One evening that winter, Nick invited Barret for a night downtown with some fellow friends. Soon after, the two started hanging out more casually until Nick decided to integrate Barret into his study group. After a particularly brutal exam, Nick invited Barret over for some homemade pasta. Luckily for Barret, Nick was an incredible cook. The next few months they remained as close friends, until one night Nick asked Barret to be his girlfriend. They then dated through their last three years of pharmacy school, but graduation meant they'd be miles apart as Barret was set to go to Indianapolis and Nick to Philadelphia. They decided to take some time apart from each other, but that didn't last long. After a few short months, Barret was now living in Milwaukee meaning she was 850 miles apart from Nick. Despite the distance, both made constant efforts to see each other. On October 4th, one of Nick's visits to Milwaukee, he took her on a walk along Lake Michigan. As they passed the famous LOVE sign, Nick stopped and got down on one knee... They are now so excited to celebrate their love with friends and family on October 26, 2024!
