Joseph and I met on a blind date. We were set up by my high school friend, Alex, after I publicly posted on Facebook “Why don’t people set their friends up on blind dates anymore”.

Our first Date was at Long Horn in Tradition. Joseph wore his “Free Hugs” t-shirt under his blue button up and I had just come from my Son, Gavin’s T-Ball practice. It wasn’t in the cards for us then, but in 2020 we picked up right where we left off, but Covid hit and shut everything down, so in 2022, I told Joseph “hey, we are going to get married, okay?” Not too long after that he met Gavin and they became best buds, and a short time after that we moved in together. We went on a few trips together to Seaworld, Universal, the Zoo. Gavin and Joseph were gaming and becoming the best of friends. Then on 5/13/23 we added to our family, Stella Rey Valcone and she was the perfect addition to our family. Her and Gavin love each other our hearts couldn’t be fuller. And on December 25,2024, Joseph got down on one knee and asked “Will you?” (You’re reading that right he only asked “Will you”.) It was perfect. Gavin was right there excited about his presents, Stella was sleeping in. I couldn’t have asked for more.
