I first met Caitlin while playing basketball at the gym at CSU. After witnessing her talent, I continued to invite her to play on any and every intramural team (basketball, flag football, volleyball) I played on. Throughout college we continued to talk and establish our mutual love for food and breweries. Fast forward a few years, after we had both graduated and moved home, we reconnected through the same passions but also my newfound journey to faith. Not only did this help me grow, but it also brought us closer together. However, it wasn't until multiple people asked me why I hadn't asked her out already, that I finally worked up enough courage to ask her to dinner. From there, everything is a blur of food, sports, and breweries all spearheaded by a mutual pursuance and growth in faith. After 13 months of dating, I overcame the anxiety and asked for her parents' blessing and assistance in the proposal. The journey that took nearly took 5 years and began with a game of pickup basketball, has developed into a lifelong pursuit of faith, family, sports, food, and breweries. There is no one else I could imagine embarking on this adventure with and I am so excited to see what the future has in store for us.
