Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under you name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.
Are kids invited?
Although we love your children, we have chosen for this event to be 15 and up. If your child is invited, they will appear under your name when you RSVP! We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
Where should guests park at the venue?
Once on the property for Osage House, we have reserved the large event space and chapel at the back of the property. There is a large parking lot to the right of the reception space with parking for up to 150 vehicles. Please use this parking lot.
Parking in the circle drive in front of the chapel and/or reception space is not allowed and will result of the towing of your vehicle by the property.
Can I leave my car overnight?
Yes, Osage House has agreed to let guests leave their vehicles in the parking lot over night on Saturday night. Any guest that leaves their vehicle will need to pick it up between 9AM and 11AM on Sunday, February 16th.
What is considered formal wear for guests?
This dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices remain the same: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.
Jeans are not acceptable.
Is there a certain color that we should/should not wear?
No one should wear white except for the bride and flower girl. Black is encouraged for guests.
Other color options: reds, pinks, maroon, orange, purple, gold, yellow
Colors to avoid if possible: blues, greens, brown
Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
We invite you to RSVP online here prior to January 9th. If you do not respond, we will assume that you are not coming and you may not have a seat for dinner.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The wedding will take place in the chapel at Osage House and guests will have to walk to the reception hall just up the hill at the venue.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
The food will be catered by Wrights BBQ. The desert bar will feature gluten-free options as well as regular options.
Will there be an open bar?
The bar will have a limited menu, but all drinks will be provided for free to those over the age of 21. For those under 21, we will have non-alcoholic beverages. It is against the rules of the venue for anyone to bring in their own alcohol and you will be asked to leave by venue staff. Osage House does not allow anyone to take shots and will ask you to leave if these rules are broken.
