Our Story

Who would have thought a wig, a crop top (thank you, Taylor!), and a little bit of liquid courage would kick off this love story? It all started at Seafood and Wine, where a tipsy, flirty Taylor crossed paths with BayLee—who happily played the role of drink-buyer. (Some things never change!)

Our journey wasn’t exactly a straight shot. It took a few years, a couple of ghostings, countless flirty encounters at bars and events during BayLee’s visits home, and more failed hangout attempts than we’d care to admit. But eventually, there was that one magical hangout that just clicked. From then on, we were inseparable.

Funny enough, we kept crossing paths like characters in a rom-com. Every time BayLee came home to visit, we’d run into each other and somehow end up gravitating toward one another. Taylor took his time working up the courage to make a real move (classic slow burn), but once he did, we both jumped in—and haven’t looked back since.

The best part? Our story feels like it was written for the big screen. We grew up around each other, Taylor was good friends (and even a roommate!) with BayLee’s older brother, and BayLee was sure she didn’t like him… until she did.

Now, people say we’re best friends, the perfect match, and exactly what each other needed. And if you ask our parents, they’ll tell you, “You two must really love each other to put up with one another!”

We couldn’t agree more. ❤️

The Proposal

BayLee had planned a simple couples’ photoshoot, but Taylor had other ideas. On the morning of the shoot, he messaged the photographer to share his surprise plan to propose at the end of the session. She was all for it.

BayLee had a little suspicion that something might be up but didn’t want to get her hopes up. She noticed people acting a bit suspicious and even texted her best friend: “I might be getting engaged today, but I’m not sure—I don’t want to overthink it!” Little did she know, Taylor had been carrying the black box tucked into his sock the entire shoot, nervously waiting for the right moment.

As the session wrapped up, the photographer suggested we do an “attack bear hug” pose. On the third take, Taylor didn’t run up as expected. BayLee turned to see what was going on, and out of the corner of her eye, she realized what Taylor was doing. When she fully turned around, there he was, down on one knee, holding a black box with the most beautiful ring inside.

It was the perfect surprise, an unforgettable moment, and the start of the next exciting chapter in our story.
