I just moved to Lincoln NE for work after graduating from Doane University. I decided to download Bumbl. This became a good idea not only because I did not have a lot of time to go out and meet people, but because I found her. I swiped right on her profile immediately and we were a match! We first started talking about our music interests, and we found out we both like listening to Imagine Dragons. We also talked about what we did for a living. She a manager a sketchers, and me a medical scribe. I think she liked my many fun animal facts I brought up randomly (ask me about the giraffe blood pressure system). We talked for a few days and eventually decided to set up a date and meet in person! I was thinking a local restaurant and she was thinking Italian. Yia Yia's pizzeria was our decided date destination. I arrived at Yia Yia's 10 minutes before the date was suppose to start and got us a table. I had never been to Yia Yia's before and I liked the decor and fun environment. I waited...

and waited....

Was I being stood up?

She messaged me a little later after our date was suppose to start, and mentioned she had arrived. I was a little confused as I did not see her anywhere. Then a thought occurred, was there multiple restaurant locations? I quickly looked on maps on my phone and found there were two locations of Yia Yia's in Lincoln. I was dawdling at the downtown location, while she was at the 70th street location. The date was almost called off. Luckily, she agreed to wait a little longer, and I quickly rushed to the other location and found her sitting there. I apologized profusely and mentioned I was new to the area. She mentioned that she did not know there were two locations of Yia Yia's either. We shared a laugh at our mutual confusion. After a little rough start we finished our date and agreed to go on a second and the rest is history.

I downloaded the dating app Bumble in October of 2019 and was trying to find matches when I swiped on Joe's profile. He and I ended up matching and I started up a conversation. We had the same favorite songs from Imagine Dragons, he had interesting facts about giraffes (which are my favorite animal), and he was funny. After a couple of days of talking, we set up a date to meet each other. We decided to meet at a pizza place called Yia Yia's. I thought this was a perfect choice because it was less than a 5-minute drive from where I lived. When I arrived at the place, I waited in my car watching for anyone who looked like Joe to walk in, I did not want to walk in first. I snap-chatted him to let him know I had arrived to which he responded with a photo of him inside of Yia Yia's. I got out of my car and walked into Yia Yia's to find out that he was nowhere to be found. I sent him another message asking where he was and he said he was on O Street. I was very confused. I thought there was only one Yia Yia's in Lincoln. I didn't even think to look it up in case there were multiple locations. Joe decided to come to the location I was at instead of having me drive downtown. Such a gentleman. We shared a few laughs and had good conversations. We went on a few dates after that and on December 28, 2019, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
