Beau and Max met in 1993, and have stayed in touch ever since on account of being brothers. Beau officiated Max and Sean's wedding in 2023, so it only seemed fair Max return the favor (Note: when discussing this arrangement, the preferred nomenclature is "the Browning brothers officiated each others' weddings," NOT "the Browning brothers married each other"). Beau and Max share a mutual love of puns, dogs, math, boardgames, and their parents. Max is reverential, data-driven, and the epitome of a Nice Young Man. Beau and Maddy enjoy trivia, many game nights, and fun meal adventures with Max and Sean. Favorite memory would be all of them. Hogwarts House: Hasn't read Harry Potter, but has gotten Gryffindor and Ravenclaw on various online quizzes.

Zoe (aka Zozi, aka Zozigurl, aka Z) is, simply, the best. She's a big sister to Hallie and Catlin, a bringer of smiles, a best pal, stubborn, silly, sweet, and loyal. Zoe has been with Maddy for six years, and they are soul sisters. She met Beau right after her third birthday, and instantly approved; the feeling was mutual, and they've been best buddies ever since. Zoe loves joining her parents for adventures, being chased around the house with her soccer ball, bossing everyone (except Catlin) around, stalking neighbors from her balcony, licking Beau's ears, huffing for bites of salmon or turkey, and walking all around Indy. Hogwarts House: Gryffindor (duh!)

Beau and Curtis met at Ball State on something called the Cardinal Cash Task Force ("CCTF"), which somehow produced four members of the groom's half of this wedding party. They've been friends ever since, both moving to Indy after college; Beau for law school, and Curtis to do whatever it is he does for a living. Curtis is annoyingly affable, the rare person who actually listens after asking how you're doing. Beau's favorite memory with Curtis is officiating his and Kelly's wedding, and not just because that was the day they called the 2020 election. Hogwarts House: "Hagrid's shack outside of Hogwarts." (Maddy and Kelly amend that he is a Hufflepuff). Note: Curtis and Kelly had a baby in 2022 and Curtis has exclusively made Dad Jokes ever since. We're all very excited for his toast.

Sarina and Maddy have been friends since high school Spanish class. If you look back on their Facebooks, you'll see all sorts of awkward and strange conversations. Sarina is fun, dependable, and always there for her friends. She also is one of those people who just makes everything better and more fun. Maddy's favorite memory with Sarina is hanging at Sarina and Neil's for the Great British Bakeoff World Championship of 2024, when they went to the Vogue together, or when they made the 10th Semester of Spanish, Spanish Love Song, remix! Fun fact, Sarina and Kimmy became best friends in college, joining the same sorority at IU, after knowing Maddy throughout high school, and now they all hang out together! Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

Sean is an attorney, and went to IU McKinney a few years after Beau. He also happens to be married to Beau's brother Max. Sean is, therefore, Beau's brother-in-law and brother in law (Note from Beau: I have no idea how it took me this long to make this joke). Sean is co-owner of the Deoc Ensemble and will be playing viola during cocktail hour; Beau and Maddy highly recommend them for all of your string quartet needs. In addition to law and strings, Sean is good at trivia, board games, and putting up with Max. Sean is quick-witted, shares Beau and Maddy's love of sarcasm and banter, and is always doing amazing things with friends, family, and his community. Favorite memory is obviously Max and Sean's wedding. Hogwarts House: "Inconclusive" (He gets Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw on quizzes which we see both of in him, because people are multifaceted and can't truly be defined by one of four Hogwarts Houses, which are neither exhaustive nor exclusive; we will continue to list them for the bridal party because it's fun).

Maddy has known Lily since Lily was zero days old and Maddy was 10 and became a big sister. Maddy has loved every second of being Lily's big sister (except for when Maddy tried to brush Lily's hair and she said "I do it myself! Maddy let her do it herself and you can guess how that turned out with a four-year-old). Lily is hilariously sarcastic, which Maddy attributes to her having two older siblings; and also sweet, loving, and artistic. Seriously, she's so talented; she knits, watercolors, embroiders, and plays guitar and violin. Maddy's favorite memory with Lily is probably when they went off the beaten path on a hike on the Three Sister's Volcanos, when we all beat dad at the great Miller euchre tournament of 2022, or when Lily yelled at us all to turn the lights off in the minivan when she was little (IYKYK). Hogwarts House: Slytherin (IDK, she said this but the only thing I know that is Slytherin about her is that she has a pet snake?)

Beau and Lindsay met at law school orientation, when Lindsay asked a table of then-randos (two of whom are also in this wedding) if anyone had watched "How I Met Your Mother," and only Beau had. Now, Beau and Lindsay work at the same law firm, with Beau having eight months seniority over Lindsay, a fact Beau has handled with his trademark grace and humility. They share a mutual interest in Hamilton, cats, Jimmy Stewart, and jurisprudence. Lindsay is well-read, whimsical, and good at writing Motions to Compel. Maddy has also become good friends with Lindsay through their mutual admiration of Taylor Swift and they love to send TikToks to each other in the group chat (much to Beau's chagrin). Favorite memory: seeing the Eras Tour in Detroit. Hogwarts House: Tells people she's Ravenclaw; is actually Slytherin.

Cody and Maddy met when they were little wee four-year-olds. They grew up picking on each other, and definitely still do, but in good fun, of course. They both love dogs more than most humans. Cody is a big goofball, the life of the party, a great dad, and is outrageously courageous (as exhibited by his joining the Marines and later the Navy Divers). Seriously, he used to do crazy things on the playground that were outlandishly brave, which Maddy would attempt to copy and then hurt herself because she is clumsy. Maddy's favorite memory of Cody is when they visited each other in college (accidents happened), when Cody used to tackle people when he played little league soccer (thinking it was football), or when she and Beau visited Cody in Virginia, along with his wonderful wife, Liz; their kiddo Hudson; and their puppy Finn. Cody and Liz have two beautiful kiddos who are also in the wedding, Hudson Joseph and Magnolia Ann. Hogwarts House: Cody probably would laugh at me for asking this so I'm not going to, but he's a Gryffindor.

Zach and Beau met at Ball State through Zach's cousin Jenna (Alex's wife - see below). Apparently, Beau incorrectly corrected Zach's pronunciation of Elvis Costello, though this story has never been independently verified. They share a mutual interest in sports, pop culture, and poetry. Zach is quick witted, good at throwing and catching baseballs, and, politically, slightly to the left of Che Guevara. Favorite memory was attending a Colts home playoff game (the Andrew Luck comeback against the Chiefs), then a Pacers regular season game in Area 55 (RIP) the same day. Hogwarts House: "Browning, stop asking me stuff like this." (Maddy would like to add he said he was a Hufflepuff).

Kimmy is Maddy's longest friend, and they've been besties since seventh grade. Maddy and Kimmy used to play club soccer and were in choir together. Kimmy is silly, sweet, fiercely loyal, and fearless. Once, Maddy was writing a fantasy novel in 7th grade that went nowhere, but Kimmy inspired a brave and kind fairy character. Maddy's favorite memories with Kimmy include making their video blog "iMimmy" together, travelling to Florida for Thanksgiving break (SHARON!), many funny soccer practice and school dance memories, and hiking in Brown County with the puppies. Kimmy and her husband, Joe, have the sweetest kiddo, Isa, together. She brings the whole friend group tons of smiles! Hogwarts House: Gryffindor

[No relation to Maddy, though she also has a cousin named Alex Miller - we love all of our Alex Millers, don't we folks?]. Alex and Beau met at Ball State through Alex's now-wife Jenna (Zach's cousin - see above). Like most college dudes circa 2009, they bonded while repeatedly quoting the cinematic masterpiece Anchorman. Now they talk about other stuff, such as baseball, Bruce Springsteen, or various politicians that Zach thinks are too right wing, like Elizabeth Warren. Alex is talkative (in a good way), fatherly, and good at drumming. Favorite memories include the various Chicago trips over the years, aside from the one that nearly ended in them filing a missing person's report (it's fine, we found him). Mandy and Maddy have been friends since high school, where they took many of the same classes together (never forget la familia, a group of nerdy high schoolers who took Spanish 3-6 together), and were probably introduced through Sarina. They've become super close the last few years. Mandy is wicked smart, loyal and fierce, caring, and funny. She also has this amazing quality of knowing something about everything. Maddy's favorite memories with Mandy are our high school trip to Peru, one of Mandy and Sarina's epic Christmas gingerbread making parties (where Maddy took extreme artistic liberty), arguing with Beau together, or one of our many outdoor adventures, including Southern Indiana camping, hikes in Eagle Creek, and tubing near Turkey Run. Austin and Beau also met on the CCTF. Austin ran Beau's campaign for Student Government VP, which they lost; Austin and Beau then co-ran a campaign the following year, which they won. The lesson here is that Austin is hopeless without Beau and/or that Beau is a terrible candidate. They share a mutual appreciation of the Pacers (a recent development for Austin), the West Wing, and the Nicole Kidman AMC ad. Austin is kind, professorial, and a true cinephile. Beau's favorite memory with Austin is seeing Oppenheimer with him. Or Dune 2. Or Top Gun Maverick. Hogwarts House: Gryffindor

Jackie and Maddy have been best buds since college, when they joined the same sorority, Sigma Kappa, and were later roommates their junior year in the sorority house (whose idea was it to put 30 college-aged women in a home together?). Jackie is funny, sweet, adventurous, dependable, genuine, and selfless. Maddy's favorite memories with Jackie are dancing through college together to "Come on Eileen" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Jackie and Maddy's catching up phone calls, or many of the long hangout nights laughing and talking together during Wittfest or sorority events. Jackie and her boyfriend Derrick came to visit Maddy and Beau in Indy a few years back, and it was a blast. Did we mention Jackie is the sweetest? Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

Andy was also at the table with Beau and Lindsay at law school orientation, but had not yet watched HIMYM and thus did not answer Lindsay's question. However, he joined their ragtag posse shortly thereafter, bringing some unneeded height and some needed earnestness. Andy and his wife, Ashley, have won multiple Best Costume awards as Lindsay's annual Halloween party. Beau and Andy share a mutual interest in old white guy bands, politics, and random NBA players from the late 90s and early 00s. Beau's favorite memory with Andy is ushering at his wedding, which Beau has referred to as "the highest honor of [his] life." Hogwarts House: the Huffliest Puff who has ever Hufflepuffed

Kelly and Maddy became friends through Beau and Curtis (Kelly's Husband), the past few years. Kelly is witty, extremely kind and generous, and amiable. Kelly and Maddy share a love of animals, gardening, and Taylor Swift. Maddy's favorite memories with Kelly include game nights, movie nights, letter writing parties, and accidentally making Sophie (Curtis and Kelly's curious and silly daughter) laugh-scream at Taxman. We also laugh every time we think about the time she came over and accidentally (thanks baby bump!) stepped on Zoe's wet food bowl and it literally flew everywhere. This is not an exaggeration. Kelly is a literal light of happiness and joy in this world. Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Hudson is Maddy and Beau's nephew. He will be almost FOUR when our wedding come's around. He is loud and silly (just like his dad).

Maddy and Beau's newest niece, named after Beau's third favorite Paul Thomas Anderson movie. She will be one when the wedding rolls around! We are excited to see her grow!

Maddy and Beau's oldest niece-- she's going to be 8 two days after the wedding! She is hilarious, stubborn, a quick learner, curious, and sweet. Maddy and Beau love taking her for adventures and all of her fun antics. Beau is "Mr. Big Guy" to her.

Ellie is Maddy and Beau's niece (she will be two when the wedding rolls around). She is giggly, smiley, and happy. We can't wait to watch her keep growing up!

Nathan was NOT at the infamous law school orientation table; he and Beau actually met slightly before that, and Nathan was presumably off trying to find cooler friends. He failed, and spent the first three semesters of law school hanging with Beau, et al., before doing the smartest thing a law student can do: dropping out. Nathan now works in marketing or sales or something, and is significantly happier than any lawyer. Nathan is tall, dry, and charmingly nerdy. Beau's favorite memory with Nathan is watching Hamilton in his backyard in July 2020, with everyone sitting in lawn chairs six feet apart. Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

Bill was at that table, but had not and still has not watched HIMYM. Nonetheless, we still hang out with him, primarily because he is in a band. Bill did the second smartest thing a law student can do: graduate, but not practice law. He is now a realtor and significantly happier than any lawyer, but not as happy as Nathan. Bill is affable, chill, and a perfectly normal height (he is the only one in the law school group shorter than Beau). Favorite memory would be all the times he kept hanging out with us despite having 3 children in 15 months. Hogwarts House: (still waiting on Bill to respond to my text)

Kyle was also on the CCTF, the only ceramics major on the committee. Kyle lived with Curtis and Kevin (and, unofficially, Beau) at Ball State, and now lives in South Bend with his wife Madeleine, who is not Madelyn. Beau and Kyle share a mutual interest in doodles, international politics, and Kyle's former mayor. Kyle is cultured, wise, and a ginger. Favorite memories would be their semi-regular reunions with Curtis and Alisha in South Bend and the greater Kokomo area. Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Kevin was not on the CCTF; he was the CCTF. Beau and Kevin met in student government, and ran as president and VP in 2011; they lost, possibly because of Austin (see above). Despite being the John McCain and Sarah Palin of Ball State, Beau and Kevin remained friends, sharing interests in Notre Dame football, the Reds(ox), and, amazingly, politics. Kevin now lives in Virginia, but is still the most midwestern person in the world. Favorite memories (aside from the campaign) would be Kevin's bachelor party in Nashville and his wedding in Charlottesville. Hogwarts House: Gryffinpuff

Neil is Sarina's long-time boyfriend. Neil, Beau, and Joe, despite meeting through their respective significant others, now love to also hang out when the girls get together; they started as homies-in-law and are now actually friends (enjoying boating and tubing adventures, plus more). Neil is generous, witty, and and down-to-earth. Beau and Maddy loved making spreadsheets with Neil for the Great British Bakeoff tournament. Maddy and Neil first met when he was Sarina's date to Kimmy and Joe's wedding, where they both introverted out. Hogwarts House: Definitely Hufflepuff

Joe is Kimmy's husband. Joe, Neil, and Beau love to hang out when the girls get together. Joe is funny, philosophical, talkative, and amiable. He is a loving husband to Kimmy and father to Isa. Maddy has known Joe since Kimmy and him first started dating in high school, when he asked Kimmy out at the mall with the silliest pick up line; ask him about as he walks you down the aisle! Maddy and Beau have enjoyed many memories with Joe and Neil, including tubing in Turkey Run and a boat day near Bloomington, where Joe asked Maddy to play other artists besides Taylor Swift (how rude)!
