Our Story

Getting to Summergrove & where to stay

Summergrove Estate is located in Carool NSW in the Tweed Valley. The venue is approximately a 1 hour and 20 minute drive from Brisbane. The closest major town centres to Carool are Coolangatta (20 minute drive) and Casuarina/Kingscliff (30 min drive). We want our guests to be able to let their hair down with us, so we have arranged a bus to take our guests to and from the venue from 3 designated spots in the Tweed Coast area. We have sourced discounts for a number of hotels nearby to the bus pick up points - see below. If you're booking accomodation in the area and want to take advantage of a free lift to/from the venue, you'll be able to confirm this when you RSVP.

Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta is approximately a 20 minute drive from Summergrove Estate. We have secured 10% off bookings between 1 April and 7 April at Mantra Twin Towns for our guests. Things to Do

Scharneese and Bec have been thick as thieves ever since they met through mutual friends "the Ellies" (also in the bridal party) almost ten years ago. They struggled through law school together and came out  the other side a coupla besties with a dark sense of humour! If Scharneese goes missing from the bridal table,  she's likely gone back to the villa to scroll on TikTok.

Despite attending the same high school, Vivi and Bec didn't become pals until they linked up at uni a year or so later. The two shared a vanilla slice in an economics lecture, and the rest is history. Vivi is just as sweet as the biscuits and cakes she bakes. However, this real estate tycoon won't be allowed near the wishing well while she's saving for yet another investment property.

Ellie 'Kimpo' Kimpton is a long time friend of Bec's, and the best person to turn to in search of a few hearty laughs. Kimpo and Bec have enjoyed many nights together cooking good food, drinking (mostly) good wine, and watching their favourite TV show Gilmore Girls. Kimpin' ain't easy, so Ellie will be quick to let you know when she needs "a snack and a sit down".

Ellie 'G$' Glover earned her nickname as the least gangsta person known to humankind. Ellie and Bec have been chummies for the better part of a decade, and share a passion for saving the planet, although Bec does not share Ellie's love of Birkenstocks. The roof isn’t Ellie’s child, but if she hears one of her favourite 80s tunes at the reception, she’ll raise it.

Isaac is always on hand to provide a touch of class and style to any situation, without fail. He and Liam have been pals for just over ten years, and have seen each other through a fair whack of personal growth, as well as the odd heartbreak. Marketing whiz Isaac first went to university to learn how people think. He has since realised that it's far simpler to tell them what they think.

Nick and Liam lived together in their first year in Brisbane and became fast friends. Nick is usually down for a good time at a moment's notice - unless he is shooting footage in exotic locales. Nick is a deep thinker and a creative genius, and the sky is the limit of his ambition.  Why is Nick like the womens' toilets? You can usually find a bunch of ladies forming an orderly line nearby.

Sean 'Big SB' Brown, partner of Ellie 'G$' Glover, feels more like a brother than a friend. Liam and Sean share a love of craft beer, gaming and sports, and have been gracious enough to let Bec tag along on their shenanigans over the years. If it needs doing, Sean will get it done - by 12pm, so he can hit the links after lunch.

Troy is Bec's cousin and also one of her best mates - you may notice the family resemblance. Sometimes you can't choose your family or your friends, hey Troy? Bec and Liam love brunching and beaching with this social media mogul - if for no other reason than to gather #fire #content for his multiple Instagram accounts.
