<p>Our love story begins in probably the most unromantic of places…middle school band class.&nbsp;It was definitely not love at first sight for the two of us awkward, brace-faced 11-year-olds. Although we grew up together and ran in similar friend groups we largely remained casual acquaintances throughout our middle and highschool careers, despite Lee’s increasing efforts to flirt in the cafeteria and math class. It wasn’t until after my freshman year of college that I returned home for the summer and threw a party at my parent’s house while they were out of town (sorry, mom and dad!) and one of my best friends, now bridesmaid, Jules, invited Lee to join in the festivities. After reconnecting that night, Lee and I quickly began texting and hanging out more regularly with our other mutual friends. Soon after, I agreed to go out on our very first date. We sat and talked so long after finishing our dinner that we actually closed down the restaurant and had to be asked to leave! Even after all these years, I remember how comfortable and easy it was for the two of us to talk about anything and everything on that date, like I was talking to my other half. Since that night, the two of us have been inseparable and the rest, as they say, is history. Lee and I have known each other for most of our lives and we can't wait to spend the rest of it loving, supporting, caring for one another as we build our future together.&nbsp;We are so happy to have you share in our joy!</p>

Working with DV8, Nick is the son of our lighting director, Brian. One of the first events that Nick came to help Brian & Lee at, there were multiple people that confused them as brothers! Nick and Lee got along from the get go, and even though his choice in beer differs from Lee and Brian's, they let him slide! Nick, is one of the most laid back dudes, gets along with anyone and would give you the shirt off of his back. Lee is beyond proud to call him his friend. Thank you for being a part of our special day!

NICK MIDDENDORF

Lee & Connor would meet at a small get together at the Ashley residence during the first summer Lee & Becca started dating. The first interaction is best described as "eventful".....to say the least. Without getting into any details, it would be a night that both of them would remember and still to this day laugh about when brought up in conversation. 

Lee wanted to make a good impression on Connor as it was important to him that Connor felt he was good enough to be dating his sister. Little impression was needed as Lee recalls being welcomed by Connor with open arms after their first interactions. Lee made it a point to be sure to ask Connor his permission to marry his sister and be sure that he felt that Lee was good enough in his eyes to be apart of his family. Connor, without hesitation, became very excited and they embraced in a hug and laughter. 

Lee has been so proud to watch Connor grow from a high school boy to a military man and the two have remained close despite Connor's world travels with the Air Force.

CONNOR ASHLEY

Lee and Jordan met in the workplace. Lee recalls many times when Jordan, who has a few more years in the industry under his belt, would correct his mistakes and show him the ropes. Jordan took Lee under his wing and openly gave him any knowledge or help he asked for without any hesitation. 

"Jordan, I love you brother. I appreciate everything you've given to me in knowledge and friendship. I'm so excited for the future, planning trips together, and going to concerts, honestly...just having a few drinks and listening to you play guitar, and talking about our crazy ass jobs that we have completed! Thank you so much for being a part of my special day my friend, I appreciate you more than you know!"

JORDAN WILBURN

Kristy and Becca met during class in college and, since they shared the same major, the two decided to team up as study partners. Over the many late nights working on assignments and prepping for exams together, the two quickly went from study buddies, to friends, and eventually to roommates.   After school their careers took them to different cities, but this has not kept them from being a part of each others lives. Kristy and Becca have stood side by side for two college graduations, and now Becca can't wait to have Kristy by her side during her big day!

KRISTY NINE

Jules and Becca met in the ninth grade and continued to grow closer as friends throughout high school. Their friendship continued during college despite attending different universities many hours apart. Some of you may not know, but Jules was the one who reconnected Lee and Becca after high school and actually convinced Becca to go on her very first date with Lee! This is why Becca couldn't imagine her wedding day without her there. Becca was very honored to be a bridesmaid in Jules' wedding last October, so now it is her turn to be Becca's bridesmaid this October!

JULIA RYAN

Maddie was just Lee's kid sister when Becca first came into her life.  Becca immediately loved Maddie's fun and outgoing personality and quickly began to see Maddie as the little sister she never had.  As the years have passed, the two have practically grown into adulthood together and Becca is honored to have Maddie as one of her very best friends! Becca can't wait to have Maddie standing by her side as they *officially* become family. 

MADDIE REED

As some of you may know, Andrew is the maid of honor Maddie's long-time boyfriend. In the past, Lee has always been very critical of who Maddie brought around, like most protective big brothers. The first time Maddie brought Andrew over was after a beach themed high school basketball game. Surprisingly, Andrew received the stamp of approval despite the fact that he was wearing swim trunks and a Hawaiian shirt in the middle of February. Andrew has now been around for four years, and Lee views him as part of the family.  Lee is very excited to have Andrew be a part of his big day!
