WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
We welcome you to be comfortable and casual. Men are not required to wear suit jackets and are welcome to wear short sleeves if weather permits, however long pants are encouraged. Whether long or short sleeves, we do ask your shirts be collared, but ties are optional. Ladies, all we ask is that shorts are NOT worn. Both the ceremony and the reception will take place outdoors in the summer, please keep this in mind when deciding on attire. As the ceremony will take place in the forest, we recommend sensible footwear!
WHAT TIME SHOULD YOU ARRIVE?
Guests that are staying overnight at the venue are required to check in no earlier than 3:00pm.
The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm, please be ready at the venue no later that 3:30pm
IS THERE PARKING?
There is complimentary parking onsite at the venue, however a shuttle will also be provided for those who are not staying onsite. Please drive responsibly!
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
While we love our little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
There is nothing we love more than spending time with our furry friends, however out of respect for the surrounding wildlife, pets are not permitted at the venue. However, just minutes down the road is a charming country escape for your furry friend at Tucked Inn Kennels. From private hikes and spa treatments to a bedtime story and cuddle, your pup will be in good hands at Tucked Inn Kennels. They also provide shuttle service for your pooch to and from Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat. Website: http://www.tuckedinn.ca
What should I pack?
For those staying overnight at Whispering Springs, each tent and cabin is outfitted with linens, cozy blankets, plush towels and luxurious robes, however there are a few things of your own you may want to bring to make the most of your glamping stay.
I have included a short packing list below along with the link to the Whispering Springs Recommended Packing List.
- Warm clothes in case it gets chilly at night
- Comfortable clothing for around the campfire
- Flashlight or headlamp (all tents are equipped with lights but you may want a flashlight for walking the grounds at night)
- Bug spray and sunscreen (This is a summer wedding at an outdoor venue, there will be bugs and sun!)
- Food (for the late night snackers and those staying an extra night, all tents and cabins have a small fridge to store snacks and drinks)
- Alcohol: NOTE- You can bring your own alcohol to enjoy back at your tent, but please do not walk around the property with alcohol that you have brought, keep it near your tent. This event is open bar so we will also have lots of drinks available for you at the bar!
- Charging chords and cables
-Comfortable shoes for walking around outdoors
