Our journey began in 2023, in the midst of the daily grind of work, doing NDT at Corrosion during the fall shutdown. It wasn't love at first sight, but something about the way we worked together, shared small jokes during long hours, and supported each other through tough tasks made us realize we had something special.

In October, after a few months of working together, we spent more time together in Edmonton. It felt like the world slowed down, as we explored the city, laughed over drinks and opened up to each other in ways we hadn't before. That time in Edmonton, felt like a turning point, one of those moments where you look back and know everything had shifted. By November, we became a couple, and from that moment, everything clicked.

It wasn't long after, we were both living in Newfoundland after having a small apartment in Fort McMurray. We had gotten some unfortunate news that we had miscarried our unexpected pregnancy. This has caused us to grow closer. We went through happy times, hard times, and we were always there for each other through it all.

Come July, 2024 and he had popped the question. It was simple, sweet and everything you would dream of. With that, we began planning the next chapter of our life together. Wedding plans started taking shape, but more than anything, it felt like the start of forever.
