Eric and Becky met like many young couples do these days…on a dating app. It all started out with messaging on Hinge that turned into going on their first date in Chicago in 2021. The date lasted five hours and they have been smitten with each other ever since! They initially bonded over their mutual love of history, movies and their love of exploring Chicago. After that first date they have expanded their exploration to different areas of the midwest, Florida and even a family trip to Norway. After being middle distance between Batavia, IL and Chicago for over two years they moved in together in 2024 and now live in Batavia where they love biking, being a couple of couch potatoes, and most importantly making each other laugh! Due to Eric's work as a historian they felt it most appropriate to make a timeline of their love story...

Eric and Becky chose a food menu to pay homage to their favorite city... Chicago! These are some of our favorite Chicago foods and it's a great coincidence that Lou Malnati's deep dish has always been both of their favorites. If you are an out of towner and have not had any of these Chicago foods before please come hungry!   Famous Lou Malnatis Deep Dish Butter Crust Pizza (Cheese and Sausage)   Shaved Chicago style Italian beef with Turano french bread, sided with giardiniera   Vienna Pure Beef hot dogs (kosher of course) steamed and set into a fresh poppy seed bun condiments the way Chicagoans like them: diced tomato, relish, pickle spears, ketchup, celery salt, cucumber, onions and mustard   Chopped Fresh Made Coleslaw   Caesar Salad   Rustic kettle chips   ZESTY rotini pasta salad!   Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or other preferences!
