TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS
What is the date and location of the wedding?
The wedding is on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, in Paso Robles, CA, by the east end of Lake Nacimiento. Address to be provided directly to guests on the invitation.
What airport do you recommend I fly into?
San Luis Obispo (SBP) airport offers a range of flights as well as related services available while being an one hour drive from SBP to the venue.
It is a 3 hour drive from San Francisco airport (SFO) to the venue, but this is also an option.
Where should we stay in Paso Robles for the wedding?
You may want to stay at the La Quinta Inn (details under the "Travel" section), where we will coordinate a shuttle to bring guests to and from the wedding site. Note that it is a 25 minute drive between La Quinta Inn and the venue, so travel in comfort, style, and safety by joining the shuttle.
Alternatively, you may want to stay at an AirBnB in the area. If you are booking your AirBnB now, reach out to us for address details to ensure you choose a location that's convenient for you.
What is the expected weather, and are there any special items to pack?
On average, the weather in September should be a perfect 70 degrees. However, keep in mind that minimum temperatures in Paso Robles are upper 50s, and maximum temperatures are in the mid-80s at this time of year.
Pack your sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and don't forget your sunglasses!
What is the dress code, or do you have suggested attire?
Cocktail or semi-formal attire are preferred. Here are some suggestions based on the anticipated weather and the venue.
Ladies attire: Cocktail dresses that are knee-length or just below the knee, that are slightly more formal than daytime wear but less formal than a gown. Autumnal colors serve as the palette, so you may want to think of deep reds, purples, and jewel tones. There is no grass in the backyard, but slightly wider-heeled shoes might work better for venue.
Gentlemen's attire: A well-fitting suit, in black, grey, navy, or subtle patterns with a crisp button-down shirt are ideal. The tie should be less formal than a Black Tie event -- traditional or bow tie, feel free to to find your favorite autumnal colors and show your personality. Dress shoes such as Oxfords or loafers would work well for the venue.
Is transportation provided to and from the wedding?
To facilitate easy travel to the wedding venue, we will offer a shuttle service from the La Quinta Inn. The venue is approximately a 25-minute drive from the hotel.
For guests who would rather drive directly to the venue, please be aware that parking space is limited. We kindly ask that you inform us in advance if you intend to drive yourself. This will help us ensure that we have sufficient parking available for all our guests.
Are the wedding ceremony and reception held indoors or outdoors?
This is a backyard affair! The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be a combination of indoor and outdoor. Rain is unlikely at this time of year, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for good weather.
May I bring the whole family, including my children? What about plus ones?
Due to capacity limitations and safety concerns at our venue, we respectfully request no children under 18.
Plus ones have been included on the original set of invitations -- due to limited space, please don't extend the invite without asking.
What is the best way to send gifts?
Due to limited space in our San Francisco home, we kindly request limiting physical gifts at this time. Please check the Knot website to contribute to our newlywed fund, which will support our honeymoon and a down payment on a home.
