Nope! We are eloping with our closest friends and family present.
What is an elopement?
In the past, it used to mean running away secretly to get married without friends and family knowing. Over the last few years, it has turned into an intentionally small, intimate, meaningful, and authentic wedding experience that is a true reflection of a couple's relationship where the focus of the day is about the couple.
What can you expect as a guest?
We will have an officiant marry us in a beautiful area on East Shore called Kualoa Regional Park, which is about an hour outside of Honolulu. The ceremony will be short and sweet with professional family photos to follow. After that, Becky and Keoni will stay on-site to take couples portraits while the guests make their way back to Honolulu for the After Party!
There is no ceremony "venue", just the beautiful landscape of Hawaii to admire.
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be held at Kualoa Regional Park. The exact location will not be selected until the day of the ceremony. We will most likely meet a few minutes before the ceremony to walk to the location that the officiant and elopement company decides on. We hope to have more information as we get closer to the date.
Where is the After Party?
The After Party will begin at 8pm and will be held at The Lanai at BoxJelly in Honolulu. It is a beautiful open-air balcony in the heart of Honolulu. A traditional Hawaiian feast and beverages will be provided.
Do you have a registry?
Yes, we have an Amazon registry! https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/beckyandkeoni
The link can also be found under the Registry tab of this website.
What do I wear?
The dress code is Colorful Beach Formal. We are asking everyone attending to wear fun, bright colors! The only thing the couple asks is to NOT wear white. Any guest who chooses to wear an outfit that is predominantly white will be asked to change or will be dismissed from all photography. There are plenty of other appropriate times to wear white, please be respectful and do not wear it to a wedding :) Exceptions will be made for men needing to wear white button ups underneath a blazer that is a different color. Light colored slacks/pants are also acceptable as long as the top is not plain white.
Ladies: Here's your excuse to wear a colorful flowy dress! Short and long dresses are both appropriate for the occasion.
Gentleman: Think linen and colorful button ups. And as always: Hawaiian Shirts are always welcome!
Please note that this will be in the early evening into the night so make sure you wear something that doesn't make you overheat! Light and layered is recommended.
The most important thing is to have fun with it and wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable!
