We met (and fell in love) working in a Title 1 school in Greenville, SC. Beka taught Social Studies and Sierra taught English - a tale as old as time.

We started to build our own family traditions, and enjoyed the first of many holidays as a couple. Sierra's love of costumes met Beka's love of childish whimsy and we spent many hours taking Cleo around neighborhoods trick or treating and looking at Halloween decorations!

We officially spent the holidays together! Both Thanksgiving and Christmas were spent traveling to spend time with our respective families and enjoying a production of one of Beka's favorite musicals, Anastasia, at the Hickory Community Theater.

After selling her house, Sierra and Cleo moved into Beka's one bedroom apartment - an adventure we will surely never forget. Despite all the moments it could've gone badly, we settled into an excellent routine and Sierra helped add art to Beka's interior-desginless life.

Celebrating 1 year together with a hike! At the same time, we planned a move into a bigger apartment and prepared to celebrate each other's birthdays (28 for Sierra and 25 for Beka!).

April 30, 2024 - Sierra designed a crossword puzzle that ended with her on one knee, asking Beka to marry her. From planning lessons, to planning moves, to now planning our wedding, we have always complimented one another. We can't wait to spend our special day with you!
