Being in the same academic family at the university, there was no shortage of gossip from our peers at the time! Nevertheless, it was all in good fun and before we knew it, we were discussing marriage and how to build our lives together in Christ. Ever since Brendan moved to Aberdeen for his PhD, we have been travelling the distance to visit one another, eager for this day to finally arrive. Now, with Bekka's Masters' degree finishing up in June, and our minds and hearts firmly committed to what comes next in our lives, there's no reason to delay for this joyous occasion! Neither of us are very good at taking pictures, whether that's from living in the moment or just plain forgetfulness we're never quite sure - but to give you all a bit of insight, we did our best!

Q + A

If you are taking the train to St Andrews, there are frequent transport links to Leuchars rail station. The 99 Stagecoach bus service will then take you on the short trip from Leuchars to St Andrews.

Train

For those coming from Aberdeen: there are cheap bus links from Aberdeen centre to St Andrews, with a short change over in Dundee.

If you are travelling by car, Bekka wishes to caution you that finding a parking space can often be difficult in St Andrews (especially if a golf event is on). A reliable (and free) car park is Petheram Bridge at the western end of town, if you are struggling to find a more convenient place.

By car

We recommend booking accommodation at the University student halls (which operate as hotels in the summer) if you would like to stay within St Andrews. Use the code WED25 for a 10% discount on your booking. View the website linked for details.

University of St Andrews Accommodation

There are other hotels in St Andrews you can book, including a Premier Inn. We caution you that most other St Andrews hotels are very high in demand for tourists and the prices will reflect that. You can alternatively book in Dundee and other towns surrounding St Andrews (ie. Crail, Cupar etc) for greater availability and better prices.
