Please RSVP by May 13, 2026.

Is there a dress code?

Summer Semi-Formal. By this, we mean "dressy with a brighter color palette, but not too formal". Think "Elegant Garden Party" vibe and lighter weight fabrics as June weather can be unpredictable. For the ladies: Maxi or midi length dresses, jumpsuits or other chic options in pastels or floral prints. The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) and mostly on grass, so please keep that in mind for your footwear choice. There may be full sun at 5PM, so stylish hats are also welcome. For the men: a dark or light suit or a sport coat worn over a collared shirt with trousers or khakis. Neckwear is optional. Whatever you pick, make it something you can comfortably dance and have a good time in!

Where are the ceremony and reception?

The wedding ceremony and reception will both take place at Bellevue Hall which is located at 901 Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, Delaware

Will there be a guest shuttle ?

Yes! A complimentary shuttle will be available to transport hotel guests from the Westin Hotel to Bellevue Hall, beginning at 4:15 PM. Please be in the lobby at 3:50 PM where an attendant will help guests find the shuttle. Free onsite parking is also available at the venue. We will provide shuttle service at the end of the night from Bellevue back to the Westin.

Where can I park?

There is ample parking at the venue for those who choose to drive. You will use the Bellevue State Park entrance located on Philadelphia Pike. Please use the following address for navigation: 901 Philadelphia Pike Wilmington, Delaware. There is a designated parking lot immediately when you enter the park that will be reserved for guests. You will not be charged a park pass fee when entering the park. For those coming from the hotel, there is a shuttle!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the ceremony to park and find your seat. Welcome drinks will be available starting at 4:30 PM so please arrive early enough to enjoy those!

Where should I stay?

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Westin Hotel at discounted rates. Please check out the "Travel" page on our wedding website for more information on the hotel.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

During the ceremony, we ask that all guests keep their cell phones silenced and put away. We have a wonderful photographer who will document everything, so please leave the job to her while the ceremony is in progress. The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say "I do". We promise to send you photos afterwards! You are welcome to take as many photos and videos as you would like before and after the ceremony.

What is Bellevue Hall?

The building we now call Bellevue Hall was constructed in 1855, one of many lavish country estates built along the Delaware River following the completion of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railway. The property was purchased in 1893 by William F. du Pont, Sr., who spent the next twenty years adding additional land and buildings, including barns and stables to support his equestrian interests. William F. du Pont, Jr. inherited the estate in 1928, and he, too, spent several years painstakingly remodeling the exterior into a Classical Revival-style estate in the image of “Montpelier” (the original Virginia estate of James and Dolley Madison) where he had spent his boyhood. The younger du Pont also raised and trained thoroughbred horses on the estate, eventually adding racing tracks, steeplechase and dressage training areas, and indoor horse training facilities. Du Pont’s second wife, Margaret Osborne, was a professional tennis player, leading to the addition of outdoor tennis courts and a sports building with indoor tennis courts and swimming pool. Margaret herself trained often at Bellevue, and in fact the 1943 National Women’s Tennis Championships were held there as well. When William du Pont, Jr. passed in 1965, his heirs showed little interest in assuming responsibility for the estate. The State of Delaware acquired it in 1976 and over the decades the state’s Division of Parks and Recreation has renovated the mansion, purchased the Mt. Pleasant Meeting House and Parsonage and Cauffiel House, built a band shell for outdoor concerts, and converted a former horticulture building into the Bellevue Arts Center. Bellevue Hall remains the centerpiece, seated gracefully amidst hundreds of acres of parkland and surrounded by lush gardens, a magnificent blend of grand historic charm and the amenities of a modern event facility.
