Bella's Side of the Story: The first time I noticed Daniel was across the room in 8th grade science class. He looked kind and sincere! I soon realized I had many other classes with him that year! Including math and social studies! It was only a matter of time before we were assigned seats near each other and became quick friends. I remember walking to each class with Daniel and hoping we would get assigned to be partners in class projects. Continuing on to Freshman year, we remained close friends. We went to school dances together and hung out often! It wasn't until the end of that school year, when Daniel's family moved to Delaware, that we ultimately lost touch :( Two years later, we reconnected during the COVID lockdown! We spent the summer face timing &amp; catching up about the past two years! Our families separately discussed going to Hilton Head Island for vacation the same week in July! I was thrilled to get to see Daniel again!!! That week on vacation felt like a movie!! I feel like we fell in love under the most beautiful landscape. We began dating (long distance) shortly after that!!! The fairytale romance quickly met the hardships of reality and we broke up at the end that year. I was crushed. But in my pain and desperation, I turned Jesus-- Who met me in real and tangible ways that I didn't know were possible. I learned what it looks like to live in relationship with the living God. Who is not boring and I learned that He cares deeply about me and has purpose in my life and in my suffering. I began to chase after and pursue Jesus with all the I had! And He began to heal me from the inside, out. Although I missed Daniel deeply, I found a satisfaction for my soul in Jesus. About 7 months later, Daniel &amp; I reconciled and I was able to encourage Daniel to continue to seek Jesus wholeheartedly. I began college at Liberty University and Daniel at Georgia Southern. We decided to cut off communication &amp; attempt to fully let go of one another.... I cried and prayed all semester! I don't know what happened to me! Daniel had captivated me body, mind, and soul. All I wanted was to be with him again. I begged the Lord to bring us back into each others lives and for Daniel to one day be my husband. Towards the end of the semester our Freshman year, Daniel made the decision to get baptized. As a way of publicly confessing that he is surrendering his life to follow Jesus daily. Daniel's mom felt a nudge to invite me and after prayerful consideration, I ultimately accepted!!!! Off to Georgia I went!!!!! That weekend felt sacred to me. I wept daily in gratitude and awe of the transformative power of my Jesus. I had known Daniel, but Jesus had changed him. In so many good and beautiful ways. The boy I watched get baptized that weekend, was one I had felt I never met before, but deeply and truly loved. Two months later, in January of 2022, in Hilton Head Island once again, we decided to start dating , but this time it was different. It was more true and genuine. Our hearts were for Jesus. And we desired to love each other in the ways that He calls us to! Patiently, kindly, selflessly, intentionally, humbly, a full and true self-giving love that is capable because of the power of God's Holy Spirit working through us. The next three years were filled with many long face time calls and fun weekend trips while we dating long distance!! We continued to grow and learn together in our understanding of love. Daniel is my favorite person and my best friend!!! Daniel proposed on May 15th, 2024 on a trip to California! And I said YES!!!!!! I am so grateful for how the Lord has written our story. I cannot wait to do life with Daniel for the rest of our days!!

Daniel's Side of the Story:I met Bella in middle school. It was the first day of our 8th-grade year, and I went to science class early to get a seat and meet the new teacher. After everyone else got their seat, Bella walked in. I was captivated by her beauty, and lucky for me, the only open seat was at my table. I can’t remember much of that class because I was filled with nerves and excitement. At the end of class, I thought to myself, “I will offer to clean everything up to try to get her attention,” and that's exactly what I did! Bella said, “Thank you!” and walked away. My heart was exploding with joy! From then on, we became really close friends. One time in math class, Bella offered to share earbuds as we listened to Snoop Dogg Christmas. Everything was going great, and I started to dream about a life with Bella. I remember lying in my bed most nights and praying, “God, please let things work out between Bella and me. If there is any way, please let it happen!” I eventually moved away, and we lost contact, but when COVID hit, Bella added me on a social media platform. I was shocked, and all of the old emotions came flooding back. We continued talking and found out our families were both planning vacations in Hilton Head at the same time! So we made plans to see each other and spend time together. Again, we hit it off and became close friends, but I was determined to escape the dreaded friend zone—which I eventually did! This trip was the reality of what I dreamed about in middle school! I couldn’t believe that Bella and I started dating! I felt like the luckiest guy in the whole world! After Hilton Head we began doing long distance. We didn’t know what love really was at this time—we thought we did, but we didn’t. We ended up ending that relationship because we couldn’t handle the difficulties it came with. Through that breakup, Bella began searching for deeper questions in life, and she started to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. As the months went by, I noticed the drastic change in her, and it led to an internal contemplative state about what I was doing with my life. “I used to be the ‘Christian’ in the relationship,” I said to myself. “Now what am I?” Jesus began His beautiful work of redemption. I came to such a low point in my life that I decided to go all in on Jesus—full-fledged. I just wanted to seek Him. As I began to do this, I felt terrible about how Bella and I ended things. So I wrote her a letter apologizing for everything. She eventually got it and responded back. We began talking again, but this time we decided it would be best if we both focused on Jesus and individually matured before we would be ready for a relationship. I was devastated, but ultimately, I knew it was for the best. Our first semester of college, we decided not to talk at all, and if it were to work out, God would make it happen. After months without contact, I decided to get baptized. My mom called me and asked, “Do you want me to invite Bella?” I said, “I haven't talked to her in months! But if she can find a way to get here, yeah!” Bella nervously accepted the invitation, and I was stoked—mainly because every single day that we dedicated to not talking, I was praying for her and writing her a letter. She showed up to my baptism! Tons of movie moments were made during that time, but most clearly, I saw—tangibly—God’s redemptive power. He literally changed us.Bella felt like home. I fell in love with her caring, gentle, compassionate heart. Our relationship this time was built on a foundation of real love. And real love is the constant decree that you choose one another. We want to serve one another; we want to care for the other; we want to rid ourselves of selfishness and live fully. I love Bella with my whole heart, and I cannot wait to call her my wife. If you are still reading this, thank you—and also consider what Jesus has done in Bella’s and my life, and know that the same redemptive power is offered to you. We are designed for a relationship with God, and life is better following His way!

Zach is dependable. He’s the kind of friend who will drop everything to help, no questions asked. With a servant’s heart and unwavering loyalty, he constantly reminds me how we are called to love others. Zach is a sacrificial man of God. Zach grew to become my best friend quickly in college. We have shared so many fun adventures together and I feel like I won at life having him by my side on my wedding day.

Hannah has been sweet sister to me since our freshman year of college. We lived in the same building at Liberty University and quickly bonded over our deep desire to know Jesus more. Since she’s from Georgia, she often let me ride with her back home so I could spend weekends with Daniel. She is someone who inspires me and challenges me to love more like Jesus!

Ive known Gray as long as I can remember. Gray is by far the best brother I have ever had. Gray is always fun to talk to and he finds himself to be the life of the party! Gray is very kind at heart and cares a lot about the his closest people. Gray also thinks that one day he can beat me at golf, henceforth he might be a little delusional, but thats ok!

Hailey is my oldest and most loyal friend. We met at ages 10 and 11 when we were paired as duet partners in competitive dance, and she quickly became my best friend. Throughout the chaos of middle and high school, Hailey was a safe, steady presence that I could always rely on, no matter what. I don’t have any sisters, but Hailey has always felt like the closest thing to one—a constant source of support and unconditional friendship.

Matthew Carnes is driven and disciplined, pursuing the Lord in a way that has challenged me to grow in my own faith. We share a calling to ministry, and it has been a joy to walk alongside him, united by the same passion and purpose. Matthew and I met at the Georgia Southern BCM and have been roommates throughout college! Matthew is a stud.

When I first met Anna freshman year of college, it felt like I had known her my entire life. From day one, she has loved me with intentionality and grace, reflecting the unconditional love of Jesus. Through her, I’ve learned so much about what it truly means to "love well." Our time as roommates was such a gift—filled with laughter, dancing, tea, cuddles, and constant encouragement to keep pursuing Jesus.

I met Paulina through our study abroad program in Rome and was immediately drawn to her kindness, compassion, and deep unwavering love for Jesus. She quickly became one of my most cherished friends, carrying herself in a way that makes everyone feel seen and valued. Though she lives in Colorado, distance hasn’t changed our friendship—she remains a steady and supportive presence in my life.

Wyatt has so much joy!  He has an awesome gift for seeking out the overlooked and making them feel valued. Wyatt is so much fun to be around, always full of laughter and life. We met my freshman year at college and we have been roommates since! Wyatt and I share a love for the game of golf and we will hit the links quite often, it definitely becomes an issue when one of us gets the golf bug hahaha

Ella and I met during our time studying abroad in Italy, and we became friends while traveling through Europe together. She is gentle, sacrificial, and her love for others is selfless and wholehearted—just like Jesus. Our friendship has only grown since then, and Ella has remained a steady and consistent presence in my life. She has a unique way of making those around her feel seen and loved, and I’m beyond thankful for her friendship. Having her by my side on my wedding day truly means so much to me!

Jed is a breath of fresh air—full of life and energy. Since the start of college, he has been one of my closest friends. We first connected in a Bible study during freshman year, and now we share the same calling to ministry, making the journey even more meaningful. Jed also has an amazing ability to get a party started, I love Jed.

Evan and I first met after I gave my first sermon. Evan came up to meet me and we clicked instantly. Since then Evan has grown to be one of my closest friends. Evan is a deep thinker, truly a man dedicated to learning and growing in the ways of God. Evan dreams of being a missionary overseas and I commend him for his pure desire.

Lindsay is one of my best friends from college and was my roommate. She is a steady friend who has continued to challenge me in my faith. Lindsay is hardworking and tender, adventurous and fiercely protective of the people she loves. She’s always made me feel safe and valued, and while she’s someone who is thoughtful about who she lets in, I’m so thankful to be one of the few who has earned that trust. I’m beyond grateful to have her by my side as my friend and bridesmaid!

Jakob and I met in the third grade. Jakob moved into my neighborhood and we were partners for a school project. Jakob has been one of the longest sustaining friendships I have, and I am incredibly grateful for his reliability. No mater what season of life I found myself in, Jakob was there with me.

Mia and I truly became friends during my senior year of high school. She helped me understand what it means to walk in a relationship with Jesus and has stood by me through both my hardest moments and my happiest ones. She is a constant, loyal friend—always supportive, always present—and she never fails to make me laugh. Her love is selfless and sacrificial, always putting others before herself in a way that reflects the heart of Jesus.

Obuah and I became friends my freshman year of college. One of my favorite things in life is making Obuah smile. This dude radiates joy, and happiness flows out of him so naturally. Obuah has been a steady encourager in my life when I have needed it most.

Alaina has always felt like a little sister to me. I grew up having slumber parties at her house and cheering her on at dance competitions, so I feel like I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into the amazing person she is today. Alaina is one of the most tender and selfless friends I know. She’s the kind of person who gives without expecting anything in return, and her heart for others is truly inspiring. I’m so grateful to have her in my life and by my side on my wedding day!

T-Mac and I met my freshman year at the BCM. T-Mac and I instantly found a connection through our shared love for golf. Me and T-Mac are the CHAMPIONS of our CRI Open (second flight) in 2023. If I ever feel down I know that I have a consistent friend in T-Mac who always does an amazing job of caring for me and others when in times of need.

Damaris and I became fast friends during study abroad, and from the very start, she’s been someone who pushes me to grow. She’s intentional, hardworking, and always striving to be better. Damaris is refreshingly honest, and she has this way of making you feel welcome and valued in her space. Even though we live far apart, she’s made sure to stay intentional in keeping our friendship strong, and I’m so thankful for her

I met Lauren while studying abroad in Rome, and we clicked right away. She is funny, down-to-earth, and one of the easiest people to be around. We quickly became close friends. Whether we were exploring new countries, laughing over the little things, or staying up late talking, she’s the kind of person who makes life more fun and full of unforgettable moments. She’s always down for a good time, but even more than that, she shows up for the people she loves. Her love for Jesus shines through in the way she cares for others, and I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on my wedding day!

Hayden is THE MOST chill guy on the planet earth. Hayden is constant and caring, always ready to serve in whatever capacity someone is needing. Hayden is the most lovable person ever. Calm and easy going, I truly believe no one could be mad at Hayden.

Caleb has played a major role in my life. When I entered college I didn't know what it looked like to follow Jesus. God used Caleb as a mentor in my life to help teach me to follow Jesus. Caleb was discipling me through my entire first year of college, he invested so much time, wisdom, and tears into helping me become more like Jesus.

1. What is the dress code for the wedding?We’re keeping it semi-formal for the big day! Please come dressed to impress, but feel free to be comfortable and enjoy the celebration. The wedding will be both indoors and outdoors.2. What time should I arrive?The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to give yourself time to park and settle in.3. Where should I park?There will be ample parking available at Clisby Pines. Just look for the signs!4. Is there transportation from the hotel to the venue?At this time, we do not have scheduled transportation between the hotels and the wedding venue. If you’re staying in Dalton or Chattanooga, we recommend carpooling or using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Pickup times may be longer than usual due to location, but if this is something you're hoping for, you can look into reserving a ride in advance.5. Are kids welcome at the wedding?We absolutely love kids and welcome them to join in the celebration! If you plan to bring children, feel free to let us know so we can ensure there are accommodations for them during the event.6. What are the best things to do in the area?We’ve put together a list of our favorite local attractions, restaurants, and activities!
