Our Wedding

<p style="text-align: left;">    It’s not very common to meet the love of your life in high school. Carter (17 years old) and I (16 years old) in July 2021 met through mutual friends. Dylann Delimont hosted summer game nights a few times a week which was how Carter and I met. We went on a triple date and Carter was the easiest person to talk to. We went to the drive-in movies to see The Quiet Place 2 and went to tropical smoothie afterwards. It was such a fun date with our friends but nothing sparked between us yet. All I knew was that I wanted to be friends with this cute boy! Almost every night we met up at Dylann’s house for game night. Carter always wanted to sit by me when playing cards and would help me win by sneaking cards under the table. He started getting cuter… and cuter… oh no. More summer game nights, one double date to the caves, and I didn’t want to go on a date with anyone else but him.      Carter started his senior year and I started my junior year of high school. We both ran on the cross country team at Arbor View. We got to see each other everyday no matter if it was just at practice or if we had a date planned. At the beginning stages of our relationship Carter would kiss me on my hand or on my cheek and I was dying to know if he would actually kiss me! After hanging out on a school night, he drove me home and like always he kissed me on the cheek. This time I responded by saying “you missed” and then he kissed me goodnight for the first time.     Throughout my junior year of high school at Arbor View, Carter doing online school, would do his school work in the morning and work at Flowers By Michelle most afternoons. He would come visit me at school and have lunch with me some days. I’ll never forget our little lunch dates and playing cards on the center console in the car.      We were always coming up with new and fun dates every week and some of our favorites were going to all the school dances together, hiking Lone Mountain, indoor rock climbing, Las Vegas Enchanted Forest, Black Tap downtown, ACM awards, movie nights, walking Downtown Summerlin, going to the gym and temple dates. In April of 2022 we ran a half marathon together!      Carter got his call to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and serve for the next two years in Brazil, São Paulo. August 2022- August 2024     Our biggest lesson we learned through this experience was that as we put Jesus Christ and His gospel first we could get through anything. Carter was called to be a missionary and I knew I was called to be a missionary’s girlfriend. We wrote each other one email each week on pday. This schedule kept us strong and motivated to keep going! It was the hardest thing we’ve both ever done and I’m so proud of my return missionary!      Carter returned home this past August. The best day of my life (so far) was seeing him for the first time come down the escalator at the airport and hug him for the first time in two years.      We soon after moved up to Utah for school! Carter at University of Utah and me at Utah Valley University. We make the hour drive to see each other at least twice a week. On November 23, Carter asked me to marry him and be his wife! We can’t wait to be married for eternity and continue our love story! <br /></p>
