We met in college through mutual friends at a party, one fateful night in October 2021. Weve been inseparable ever since! Our first date was on November 7th, 2021. We went to the Red Wings vs. Golden Knights NHL game, it was Xaviers first ever NHL game! We started officially dating November 11th, 2021.
Our first year together our little family began to grow as we adopted our cat, Goose. We struggled through school, financial issues, and adjusted to being retired college athletes. Xavier started coaching football at Northview and I became a football fan.
During our second year together, Xavier signed his enlistment papers for the US Army. He finished his Capstone for History and I struggled with progressively harder classes. We also became a parent to our second cat, Spooky.
Our third year began with excitement as Xavier graduated with a degree in history a semester early and shortly after, he proposed on December 26th, 2023- truly the best Christmas gift. We entered the new year with the joy of being engaged. Shortly after Xavier left for bootcamp and would be gone January to June of 2024. In June he graduated OCS as an 2LT of the US Army chemical corp. While he was gone I worked on one of my two capstone. I finished up my classes for my English degree and dove into my last semester of college.
In the fall of 2024, shortly before entering our fourth year together, we began the hunt for our first house! We closed on our house days before our anniversary. I graduated in December of 2024, and we spent our first Christmas in our new home.
In January of 2025 Xavier left for Army training again and was gone until May. Our distance has only made us stronger and we cherish the time we get to spend together. The rest of 2025 was spent completing renovations throughout the inside and outside of the house and finalizing our wedding planning.
As we go into 2026... we look forward to celebrating our love with all of our friends and family. We cannot wait to see what is next for us as we enter our fifth year together as soon-to-be newlyweds. Thank you for being apart of our love story and celebrating with us!
