September 2019, the digital love era begins, and we swipe our way into each others hearts! First date? Longhorn Cafe, The Home of the Big Juicy. While eating our burgers, I clumsily spilled water and ice all over myself trying to take a drink.... Talk about making an impression! We clicked instantly, and I felt like Id known Zane forever! :)

We went on more dates, and on November 30th, 2019, Zane asked me to be his girlfriend... and of course, I said yes! Four years later, for our anniversary, we stayed at a cozy Airbnb on a farm in San Marcos. We planned to spend the next day visiting the farm animals and a winery.

LITTLE DID I KNOW... that December 1st, 2023, would become a day I would remember forever! Excited for the winery tour we had planned months prior, we entered to discover it was just the two of us. I thought, Private tour? Omg yes! But as the guide started explaining the winemaking process, I couldn’t help but feel like it was the worst tour I’ve ever had! I didn’t realize that this was all part of Zane’s plan…

As the guide left to turn on the lights, Zane pulled me aside. I was thinking he might suggest leaving due to how bad the tour was, but I was completely wrong. He led me to some flower petals, and there it was – a sign. Initially, I thought it was a surprise for someone else, since he said he’d propose sometime in 2025, but as we got closer I’m realizing, OH THATS FOR ME! Overwhelmed with excitement, nerves, and happiness, Zane asked me the forever question!

September 2019 is when it all started! From the very first exchange of words, I sensed it in my heart: she was the missing piece I had been waiting for. Our first date was a local spot around San Antonio that I had never been to before, but would soon become a spot that brings me joy. Bella was so easy to talk to and felt as if I was talking to someone who truly understood everything about me. The best part was out of both of our nervousness she took the lead and spilled her ice everywhere… (She’s just like me in the fragile aisle at Target) That day became a cherished memory, with more to come!

I asked her to be my girlfriend soon after the first date because deep down I knew what a special woman she was and there would be nobody else I could find with her off-the-wall personality. It was a day to remember, marking the start of a journey full of love and adventure. We dated for four years, and I’m thankful for the moments that shaped me, challenged me, and made my life better in ways I never expected. I’ll always be grateful for that.

As time went on, I felt more certain about wanting to spend forever with her. Planning the perfect proposal was both exciting and showed how much I loved her. Even though it was tough picking the perfect spot and keeping everything a secret, I kept going because I knew that the moment I asked her to be mine forever, everything would fall into place.

As the day approached, I felt nervous, but determined to make her truly happy. At the winery, I led Bella to the spot where we’d take the next step. When she stood before me, eyes filled with surprise and joy, I knew our love story had reached its peak. Since that day, our journey has been filled with laughter, adventure, and endless love. Looking back on our memories, I’m grateful and blessed for having her by my side forever and always!
