Hi, I'm Bernardette and I met Calista during our sophomore year in Creighton's College of Nursing! Over the past couple years, the Lord has blessed us by bringing us closer to each other as we studied for nursing, engaged in Bible studies, drank delicious coffees (single handedly supporting Omaha's local coffee shops), and learned line dances! I am beyond honored to be a part of Calista's life and so grateful to our Loving God for entwining our lives together!

I met Ben in 3rd grade, all through grade school we played endless and high stakes games of risk every day at lunch, every day we played soccer at recess, everyday we kicked the ball over the fence, everyday we upset teachers. We had fun, and looking back I miss the simple times of kicking a ball or playing a board game. But here we are, through high-school and college we kept in contact no matter how different our schedules were. Our lives have led us in different directions but in my heart he’s like a brother to me, and I’m proud of all he’s done and honored to be by his side to this day.

Hi everyone my name is Ally Parra and I am so grateful to be Calista’s Bridesmaid this year! I met Calista our freshman year of college in Bible study and even though I was scared to participate Calista stuck with me! Calista not only was able to make me laugh and feel loved, but she even took care of me freshman year when I hurt my leg. I was scared to ask anyone for help and she would show up at my dorm (across campus) every morning just to help me get ready for the day! I love Calista and I am so excited to go on this journey with her!

Ben was my (diagonally) across the hall neighbor during our freshman year in the infamous Gallagher Hall. While we ended up on different floors during our sophomore year, we continued to grow our friendship over outrageously hilarious movies. I eventually had the honor of joining Clark/Conrad roommate group during our upperclassmen years, leaving our mark as the CCC group of Opus Hall.

I’m Kristen, and I am Calista’s cousin. We met the day Calista was born and we’ve known each other since then. I couldn’t name just one favorite memory with Calista, so here are a few of my favorites: -Playing dress-up and filming short interview Q&A about when she was little. -Photo shoots— she was always game for a fun and fabulous photo-op! -Trying out new make-up looks on each other— Our Queen of Hearts & Black Swan masterpieces were iconic. -Playing Hanafuda (a Japanese card game) for hours at night while chatting about memories, dreams, and life in general.

Hello there this is Joshua Taylor. I was blessed with the chance to get to know Ben and Calista individually during freshman and sophomore year where we quickly bonded over shared understanding of military life and healthcare careers. We have continued to grow closer since be it through anthropology group projects, Bible studies, or shared love for practical jokes and sarcasm! I am honored not just to see the relationship between these two friends blossom, but to be a part of the next step in their journey.
