Welcome to the Q & A Page!

Here, we hope you will find lots of helpful information as you are making your plans to celebrate our marriage with us at our wedding on May 20. If you need access to this information while you are enroute or after you arrive at the venue, just pull up our website on your mobile phone.

Where is the Venue Located?

Highgrove Farm is located near Valdosta, Georgia, at 4701 Knights Ferry Road, Valdosta, Georgia. See the "Venue and Hotels" page of this website for more information. Watch for "B & N Wedding" direction signs as you are getting close.

What should I wear?

Since this is such a special event, we are suggesting "semi-formal/cocktail attire" as the dress code for our wedding. We would love for the ladies to wear dresses or dressy pants outfits and the men to wear dress pants and dress shirts. Blazers and ties are nice too, but are optional. Thanks for asking!

Will dinner be served?

Yes! Revised: We will first have a "pre-dinner" reception inside the beautiful glass Solarium located just outside the Chapel where we will serve beverages and hors d' oeuvres just prior to dinner. During this time, be sure to check the seating chart to locate your table for dinner. The dining tables will be located outside on the front deck and courtyard under the tents. Tables will be released by table number for you to go through the dinner buffet line which will be located inside the Pond House.

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Please respond to your invitation by April 28 (at the latest), either way, if you plan to attend or if you are unable to attend. Your timely RSVP will be helpful in our planning process and for our caterer and to ensure we have a seat reserved for you at the reception.

What is the best way to let you know if I plan to attend or not?

To let us know if you are planning to attend or are unable to attend, we invite you to return the RSVP card in the stamped and addressed envelope provided in your invitation OR you can RSVP right here on our website. For "quality assurance" you are encouraged to do both! We hope you will be able to spend the whole evening with us, however, if you will be attending the ceremony only and are unable to stay for the reception, please let us know for planning purposes.

What if something comes up and I can't come after I have already sent in my RSVP

You will be missed! If something unavoidable comes up and you find out you cannot make it to the wedding after you have already sent in your RSVP, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Kindly let us know by texting Tracy Sykes at 706.566.5825. Thank you.

Can I bring a guest or a "plus one"?

For this event at this venue, we will only be able to accommodate those who are listed on your invitation. Please check the inside envelope for the names. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I bring my children?

If you know us, you know we LOVE children! However, at this event at this venue, we are unable to accommodate everyone's children. Please know that there will be a few children present who are either in the wedding or whose parents have a role in the ceremony or the reception. Please refer to the names listed on your invitation to know who is included. We thank you for your understanding on this matter.

What time should I arrive?

The venue is located outside of town approximately 7 miles from Valdosta. If possible, please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of time to locate the venue, park and take your seats as there is a short walk to the ceremony site. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm.

Will the Ceremony and Reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both. The wedding ceremony will take place in a covered “open-air” chapel. The "pre-dinner” reception will be held indoors in the glass Solarium and seating for dinner will be outdoors on the deck and courtyard covered by a tent. The Pond House and Solarium will be open at all times for anyone who wants to “cool off” in the air conditioning.

Where should I park?

Once you enter the venue, the main parking lot is located at the end of the drive on the right. Once that lot is full. Additional overflow parking will be on the left as directed.

Where are the restrooms located?

Both men's and women's restrooms are located inside the Pond House located in the main area of all of the wedding festivities.

Do you have a rain plan?

In the unlikely event that it is raining at the time of the wedding (May is not typically a rainy month in Georgia), everything will be brought inside the Pond House or on the deck under the tent. The chapel is covered.
