Q: Whats the dresscode?

A: Wear something nice, wear something crazy, wear something comfortable. Wear whatever you want! This day is as much yours as it is ours. Let your inner diva shine. There is only one rule. 1. No Cargo Pants. 1. No shorts. 1. Everyday is black tie optional. 1. Menfolk. Don't look better than your wives. 1. If a voice inside you is saying "be more extra" listen to it.

Q: Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

A: The ceremony will be outdoors in the botanical gardens. The reception and after party will be held indoors. In case of severe rain we will also hold the ceremony indoors... or outdoors depending on how cool we think umbrellas will look in photos.

Q: Will there be transportation provided to the venue?

A: While there will not be transportation provided to the venue, we will have a shuttle from the wedding/reception venue to the after party location.

Q: Is there parking at the venue?

A: Yes, there’s free parking available on-site at the Southeast Botanical Gardens.

Q: What kind of food will be served?

A: A delicious mix of Japanese and Western cuisine! There will be options for vegetarians and other dietary needs—just let us know in the RSVP.

Q: Can I bring a plus one?

A: If your invitation includes a plus one, you're absolutely welcome to bring a guest! Unfortunately, the venue is very limited, so we can't accommodate everyone's plus one requests. If you're not sure, feel free to reach out to us.

Q: Are there any cultural customs we should be aware of?

A: We’re blending traditions from both of our backgrounds, and you’re welcome to just come as you are! The wedding will be a Japanese style wedding, so we hope you enjoy it (if not at least enjoy the free drinks and the after party). Japan does have some unique cultural customs and etiquette, luckily Okinawa is more laid back than mainland Japan. We've listed out a few that are good to keep in mind while traveling around Japan (in the "Travel" section of the website.

Q: Do you have a gift registry?

We understand so many of you are flying in and already spending so much money to come to our wedding. We aren't registering for gifts because we don't expect anything except your presence and sweet sweet dancing at our wedding. If you still feel inclined to give us something, we have a link on the "registry" page for monetary gifts or goshugi that will go to our honeymoon fund.
