Nick Teeple is my best man and was my roommate throughout college. Even though we grew up in the same church, we met in college and have been close friends ever since. Nick has been by Avery's and my side throughout our relationship, and has always pushed me to be better. Nick currently works as a fly fishing guide in Fort Smith, Montana.

Laney is my younger sister. She is always the funniest person in the room and is one of the most personable people you will meet. She is a senior at the University of Arkansas, is studying accounting, and was a sorority sister of mine in Chi Omega.

Luke has been a wonderful friend of mine since high school. We got to know each other in church, and he is a steadfast and dedicated friend. Luke is always going above and beyond to be there for others. He is currently serving in the United States Air Force and is training to become a pilot.

Edy is my youngest sister. Edy is very easy to be around and is always striving to become a better version of herself. Despite our ten-year age gap, I have loved getting to live with her again at home since my graduation. Edy is in the 8th grade at Summit Christian Academy.

Jase is my little brother in our fraternity Beta Upsilon Chi. From trips around the country to simple meetups for coffee, Jase is a wonderful person who always has wisdom to share. No matter where he is in the world, he always knows someone or makes connections when he can. Jase just graduated from the University of Arkansas, and works as a high school history teacher.

Ellie is Ben's sister and my friend. She has been incredibly kind and welcomed me into their family with open arms. Ellie is a hard worker and such a thoughtful person. I feel very lucky to be gaining her as a sister. Ellie currently lives in Washington, D.C. where she works as a subcontract manager for Black & Veatch.

Danny Robinson is one of my best friends from high school. Danny and I did everything together, from football and wrestling, to day-long Super Smash Brothers tournaments. Danny is one of the most charismatic people you will ever meet and can hold the attention of a room like nobody else. Danny played football at the University of Kansas, and now works in sales for a supply chain company in Kansas City.

Sophia and I have been at each other's sides from the very start of college. For years, we were rarely seen without each other and met in Architecture class our freshman year. Sophia is thoughtful and creative, and everyone wants to be like her. We were roommates for two years and spent every day of college together.

WWI Museum &amp; Liberty MemorialIf you're into history, this museum can't be missed. Plus, the overlook from the memorial above offers one of the best views in the city. Live JazzKansas City is known as one of the birthplaces of Jazz, and there are tons of options for catching some live music on any given night. The Green Lady Lounge offers two floors of music and is a local favorite.
