How They Met

Hannah and Ben met on eHarmony and had their first date at Lion's Tail Brewery in Neenah, WI, in March 2024. The conversation was lively and filled with stories about their past, making it feel as if they had been best friends their entire lives. For everyone reading this, it's hardly surprising, given the dynamic personalities of both Hannah and Ben. Hannah even went home to tell her family, "He might be funnier than I am," which is a significant compliment considering how comedic Hannah is.

The Proposal

A proposal was in the works soon after those first few months of knowing each other. For those who know Ben, proposing in a quiet, calm, and secluded fashion, as Hannah wished, was not his style. However, after some discussions, Hannah requested that if there was an audience, it should be small and include only the closest family members.

On the day of the proposal, Ben convinced Hannah to wear a dress in the rain to take the dogs on a walk (using sales tactics on your soon-to-be wife might not be recommended, but Ben did what needed to be done). After walking through the nature trails in Oshkosh, Ben suddenly started talking about his old family dog, Buddy. He couldn't find the ring that had been placed in the field to propose to Hannah. Once the ring was located, Ben proposed, and Hannah said, "Yes!" (or a version thereof). Ben had arranged for a photographer to capture the moment, with Abby, Hannah's twin sister, as the only witness—just as Hannah wanted: small, quiet, and secluded.

Unbeknownst to Hannah, Ben had also planned a dinner that evening with family, and when they arrived, all their closest friends, family, and even some random bar-goers were there to celebrate—about 60 people, exactly as Ben had envisioned.

Their Journey

Their journey so far has been a whirlwind: from a nine-day road trip with their dogs to Arizona, planning their wedding and honeymoon, and growing closer to each other. The time has flown by, filled with love, faith, family, friends, and a ton of laughter.

The Wedding Day

When it came to planning their wedding, Hannah and Ben sought a venue that could accommodate all their family and friends. Finding the perfect spot wasn't easy, but they believe they nailed it. They can't wait to have everyone together for their wedding day. The love and support each of them has received individually throughout different parts of their lives is something they look forward to merging together in this beautiful celebration.
