Dress Code

Any accommodations in Estes Park, Lyons, or Longmont are ideal. Lodging in Estes Park is about 25 minutes from the venue, Lyons is 30 minutes, and Longmont is 45-50 minutes. There are vacation rental home options in the area as well. Below are some suggestions.

≈ 23 minutes from the venue: The Stanley Hotel is&nbsp;a historic hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, built by F.O.&nbsp;Stanley, the inventor of the Stanley Steamer car, and opened in 1909 as an upscale resort.&nbsp;It is famous for inspiring&nbsp;the novel The Shining and serving as the backdrop for the film Dumb and Dumber. The hotel also features a large whiskey bar and hosts events like concerts and comedy shows.&nbsp;

Winter Activities in Estes Park

≈ 50 minutes from the venue: Eldora is a convenient, locally-focused ski area near Boulder and Denver known for its user-friendly atmosphere, with a progressive terrain layout that makes it ideal for beginners and families, though it also offers challenging double black diamond glades on the backside.&nbsp;Key features include 100% snowmaking on groomed terrain, a strong snow-sports school, a terrain park, and 40km of cross-country trails.

Eldora Mountain

≈ 5 minutes from the venue: Camp St. Malo is a Colorado retreat center with a history as a Catholic youth camp, now serving as a spiritual sanctuary and landmark for its <a href="https://campstmalo.org/about/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Chapel on the Rock</a>, which was visited by Pope John Paul II in 1993. The site offers a visitor center, hiking trails, and a space for prayer as you visit the famous chapel.

Things to Do

Please arrive at 2:30pm before the ceremony begins at 3pm. If you arrive later than 2:55, you will not be allowed to enter the ceremony site and will be asked to wait at the reception site. Dress code is cocktail attire.

Dinner will be served family style, meaning everyone will get to try some of the entire menu. We're collecting preferences to know if the venue will need to make more of one option than another. Kid's meals and allergy friendly meals will be plated separately. We have a seating chart (by table) for dinner.

The ceremony site is at the same location as the reception, however, the ceremony site is a short walk (3 minutes on a flat gravel path). If you're not sure you can do the walk, please contact us and we'll let you know what options we have for you!
