That's right, this is just a reception! We will be getting married in a small intimate setting just with family weeks before the reception.

Yes! This weekend is French Quarter Festival. It's a free food and music festival in the French Quarter. We recommend staying until Sunday to enjoy the festivities.

We would not recommend renting a car. The easiest way to get around the city is uber, blue bike, or the street cars. You can't really drive in the French Quarter during this weekend anyways.

Ehhhhh.... the best practices are to always be with someone in the evenings. We don't really recommend walking anywhere outside of the French Quarter unless you know where you are going. After midnight, just call an uber (double check the license plate before getting in). In general, just be smart and you will be fine.
