We met in high school, but are not high school sweethearts. Ben and Rachel went on Alternative Spring Break their Junior year. They got to know each other over the course of a week as they helped to clean up after Hurricane Sandy. Towards the end of their Senior year they got closer, only for Rachel to mess it up. But that's a story for another time.

They stayed friends into college, being invited to parties and staying in touch. The turning point of everything was July 3, 2017. They both realized they still had feelings for each other. They wouldn't make it official until October 8th of that year. Officially bringing Rachel's regrets to an end.

After 7 years together, they've been through college graduations, a global pandemic, and many other bumps in the road. Trials that have only brought them closer together.
