On December 5, 2012 we started dating. Our first date was at Q102's Jingle Ball - where we got to see some of our favorite artists at the time... Mik was most excited to see Radio's Famous Elvis Duran... As sophomore's in High School at this time, marriage had not been a thought in our mind but we quickly realized that we were inseparable as this was the start of forever together.

Throughout high school, we were able to cherish memories together and with friends. Captured here, is one of our many school dances, Homecoming 2014. This was senior year. One of our most special memories as a couple was being able to form strong bonds with those in this photo and to experience things like this together as a couple and as friends. Many of these people will be with us on our wedding day.

As time went on, life milestones began approaching. We were able to share college tours together. Ben was looking at UD, because his father was a professor at the university, but Mik needed some support to choose what best fit her engineering education. Pictured here was a fun day together, with some friends, at PSU University Park campus. PSU was Mik's top choice, and although it would mean we would be long distance for several years, Ben was a constant supportive role in this choice.

High school graduation was one of our first life milestones shared together. We graduated in the class of 2015 from Avon Grove Charter School. We shared many study dates, classes, and ultimate frisbee sessions together and those times are often fondly remembered. AGCS led us to each other, and to some of our forever friends. AGCS also lead us to Luke, photobombing us in the background of this photo. Hi Luke :)

As time went on and college started, we stayed the course on our long distance relationship. This photo was taken on a summer break during the college years at The Whip where Mik's family took Ben to celebrate his 21st birthday. It is fun being able to share the most fun birthdays together, to celebrate getting older, and to cherish each other for another year.

Throughout our time together, we found ourselves getting out and enjoying some fun locations, such as Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Orlando! We love Harry Potter. The audio books on long drives, like we listened to the Sorcerers Stone on the way to Boston for Chris' graduation, or binge-watching the entire Harry Potter collection in a weekend, this is a fun place we like to visit.

One thing we love to share is our favorite music. We have many, many songs that remind us of each other. We have been to many concerts, like Jingle Ball, several stand alone acts like Yellowcard, and Firefly music festival twice. We love firefly for many reasons: camping, day drinking and playing games, jamming out to our favorite artists, and just relaxing in the woodlands, pictured here. Mik was going to be graduating at the end of this year in 2019, and we were just enjoying our time together until 'real life' started...

In 2020, shortly after Mik began her first Electrical Engineering position at WL Gore, the world stopped! Both Mik and Ben were told to stay home, like everyone else in the country. We had already planned to take a short trip to Hilton Head, SC where Ben's family has a beautiful home, to spend some quality family time in the sun. With COVID-19 spreading, we got stuck there! Ben was out of work, and Mik was working remotely from Hilton Head Island! What a different time it was. Looking back, we were so happy to be stuck together. We had fun playing animal crossing, biking on the island, watching and sending each other stupid TikToks, and just sharing our time together with his parents and brother, Steve.

When the world began to start to function 'normally' again, Mik's family planned a getaway to Mexico! This was a big deal because we had never travelled outside of the country before, and it was Ben's first big Pratt family trip! He was only slightly terrified. This trip was a blast. Mik's sister Madison and her fiance Collin came, too! We shared 1 too many tequilla shots, caught some rays, went on several neat experiences, and made life-long memories in Cancun. We can't wait to go back!

In 2021, the fun continued. Mik's mom, Michele, planned a surprise trip for Mik to Knoxville, TN where her sister goes to school! Ben helped orchestrate the surprised. He even cancelled a concert we had planned for an artist called Don Tolliver (thanks Abbey for taking the tickets!). Ben is always able to keep the best surprises a secret, unlike Mik. Its impossible for her... this trip was beautiful. We explored Knoxville, got to walk through this beautiful sunflower meadow (Mik's favorite), and had some great coffee. We definitely need to get back there.

The first halloween since COVID started and our costume was depicting the Tiger King. This night was hilarious, spooky, and a blast. Sara Unis was dressed as Bob Ross (not pictured) and Calvin Green was a greaser (also not pictured). Ben worked so hard to find this shirt for his costume. We had to search the women's section in a Marshall's to find the right one! Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. Humor is one of our strongest points of our relationship and being able to laugh at each other (and ourselves) is one thing that we can get through anything with.

In 2022, we had the pleasure to go to Disney with Ben's family. This trip was extra special because our niece, Marin, was able to experience the magic for the first time. Ben is the best uncle ever. We are SO lucky to have had another niece enter the picture since then, Rhea. We love those girls. In this pic at disney, we had taken a stroll in Animal Kingdom to grab a marg and to relax. If it's one thing about us, we are gonna get a cocktail and find a place to chill even if it is Disney World.

Sometimes we tidy up our look! In this picture we were in Miami, Fl celebrating the most stunning wedding we will probably ever attend. Rachel and Arjun's beautiful weekend! As an engaged couple now, we understand what it means to invite others to our wedding. We are so grateful to have been able to be invited to share this memory with them. In addition to this wedding, we love celebrating our friend's engagements, relationships, and weddings. Our people mean so much to us, and we only hope to be able to express our love to them through supporting them through their partnerships.

In our relationship we were able to move in together to the mushroom capital of the world, Kennett Square PA. In 2022, we found an adorable 1 bedroom apartment right in the heart of the borough. We LOVED it! Kennett is our home now, and we love attending local events like brewfest, shown here. We also love Kennett because its close to family, has incredible restaurants (we love to go out to eat), and great scenery to walk our Penny.

This phot is very special to us. Ben totally surprised Mik with a proposal on May 13, 2023 in Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. The day started off normal, well not normal looking back because Mik noticed Ben was awake earlier than usual (ben is a MAJOR fan of sleeping in). Honestly, Mik gets excited when Ben wakes up early so they can hang out and watch TV or play Mario Kart. On this day, Ben offered to take Mik to get coffee and reminded her that they had a reservation with Becca, his sister at Longwood at 3pm. Mik thought this was so sweet of them to invite her to their sibling outing. Ben and Becca are very close, so she thought it was just some time they were going to have one on one! Nope! Turns out Mik got to go - score. When they were getting ready Ben seemed to be extremely concerned with his outfit. This is not unusual, but he was way more stressed than normal. Mik urged him he looked great and that it's raining and outfit does not matter that much! (little did she know he was the most nervous he had ever been to date). We drove to Longwood together to meet up with Becca. Still nothing abnormal happening, and we stopped by the beer garden to grab a beer and to plan our route through the gardens. Mik proposed one direction, but Ben mentioned the Italian Fountains in the garden toward the back. Becca also wanted to go there, and Mik agreed! As they headed down to the fountains, Becca initiated taking some photos on her phone. It was raining, but it was peaceful. While the camera was taking photos of us, Ben started saying something extremely sweet to Mik. This is AGAIN not abnormal, but then Ben turned towards Mikayla. When he turned she knew this was not some normal couple photos at Longwood moment. Ben initiated getting down on one knee, Mikayla was too stunned to speak. Mik had been wondering when it would be their turn to take the leap. It was now. With her mind running in circles, questioning if this was real, Mik grabbed the ring from Ben and threw it on to her ring finger as fast as she could to make sure this moment would not slip from her, and again, validate that this was real life. Ben's proposal was magical. Something they would cherish for the rest of their lives. The easiest yes Mikayla has ever said.

Thank you for walking down the almost 12 years of dating with us. Now we are getting married. This is not the end of this story, but just the beginning, and we are so grateful to share this with you. We hope you have the time of your lives at our wedding, and we are so excited to see you!
