Ben proposed after we had biked the causeway on Antelope Island. We went on a short hike and before I knew it Ben was on one knee proposing! I of course said yes! :)

We were set up on a blind date March of 2023 by our sisters who had met briefly at a church activity. We went on a short hike for our first date and then promptly went on another to the butterfly museum in Lehi. It was great, but didn't go any further at the time.

We reconnected in September 2023 and went on our second first date. We made peach cobbler and went on a short hike. Ben told me about his summer backpack kayaking along the Napoli coast in Kauai and I told Ben about my backpacking trip in Banff. Everything felt so normal and natural and we kept going out. Soon after, we started dating and before we knew it Ben was coming home to Arizona for Thanksgiving, and again for New years and then proposing.

We are looking forward to getting married and continuing our adventures together.
