When Ben and Mackenzie first met, He was a roofer and she was in her final semester of school. They both lived in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, and decided to meet for coffee. That was just the beginning of a beautiful story that was about to unfold. They saw each other every day since the day they started dating, and were smitten with each other.

Ben proposed to Mackenzie on a trail they would walk down all the time during a date. It was a very special spot for them. They started dancing to their song - The Night We Met - he tricked her into turning around, and once she turned back around he was on one knee, prompting her to sit down and sob. Once she gained her composure, she frantically said yes! They were both so excited to start this next journey together.

Mackenzie graduated school and after a long search took a job in Haliburton Ontario, a whole 3.5 hours away from where she went to school and where Ben was. So what did Ben do? He changed his whole life and moved to a town he hadn’t known existed just 2 months prior - Coldwater - to allow Mackenzie to chase her dreams. He started an apprenticeship to be a mechanic in another town he didn’t know existed - Bracebridge - and started learning new skills to fix her constantly broken car. They kept dreaming and planning their beautiful day, and are so excited to share it with you.
